Falls occur in 1 in 6 older Malaysians annually.

Falls could lead to fractures, head injury, psychological issues and loss of independence.

Falls can be effectively prevented through interventions like:
- the right type of exercise,
- regular medication checks,
- safer environments

1st Asian Falls Network (AFN) Meeting 2025

The AFN convened to reaffirm our shared vision of advancing falls prevention and promoting healthy ageing across Asia.

Looking ahead:

The 2nd AFN Meeting is tentatively planned for Indonesia in 2027 (biennial event).

The World Falls Congress will be held in Manchester in 2026.

Together, we continue to strengthen regional collaboration and bring forward impactful strategies for older adults.
