Kasih Hospice Foundation

KHF is a non-profit organisation providing free home hospice care services.

Kasih Hospice Foundation provides end-of-life community hospice services to life-limted patients with 4th stage cancer and organ failures. The service is provided by a team of doctors and nurses qualified in providing palliation of pain and symptoms both physical and pshychosocial. As a not-for-profit organization, this service is provided for free to the community, to all Malaysians regardless of creed or color. We provide solace every week in the oncology and palliative care wards of 2 public hospitals (Hospital Kuala Lumpur & Hospital Selayang) as well as the weekly day-care unit at the Palliative Care ward of Hospital Selayang. We also provide loan of medical equipment to patients in our care including hospital beds, ripple mattress, oxygen concentrator, nebulizer and etc at no charge. Patient caregiver and volunteer training is also provided to the public enables families to care well for their loved ones, or be of service to society.

It has come to the Foundation’s serious attention that scammers have been misusing KASIH Hospice Foundation’s name and bank account details in an attempt to deceive members of the public. We wish to state clearly that these activities are not associated with, authorised by, or conducted by the Foundation in any way.

A police report has been lodged, and KASIH Hospice Foundation is cooperating fully with the authorities. We take this matter extremely seriously and will not tolerate any form of fraud or misuse of our name for illicit activities.

KASIH Hospice Foundation does not participate in, endorse, or solicit donations linked to get-rich-quick schemes, investment opportunities, or any similar arrangements. Any request of this nature is fraudulent.

We urge the public to remain vigilant when making donations and to donate only through our official channels. Always request an official receipt for your contribution.

🎉 On 14 Sept, our annual Kasih Hospice Charity Fair was once again buzzing with life, laughter, and generosity!

Though the crowd was slightly smaller this year, the spirit was as strong as ever.

From indoor & outdoor plants 🪴 to delicious food like nasi lemak, yam cake, sourdough, corndogs, otak-otak, satay, pisang goreng, and lattes ☕—to household items, imported fruits & vegetables, face painting, traditional Chinese medicine, and even blind massage services—there was truly something for everyone. ✨

🌟 Despite the 4-day long weekend, together we raised over RM350,000 in a single day—an incredible achievement made possible by our amazing community.

💛 A huge thank you to our volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes—moving goods to the right booths, directing traffic in the morning rush, setting up, and selling items with smiles. This success wouldn’t have been possible without you!

🌿 During our Seasons of Life Festival Community Day on 13 Sept, we held our first-ever in-person Interfaith Dialogue—a truly moving session where speakers from different faiths came together to share their wisdom.

When someone facing serious illness diagnosis asks, “Why me? Why this illness? Why now?”—the pain goes beyond the physical. 💔 Dr. Diana Katiman from UiTM framed it as spiritual distress—a deep questioning not just of one’s relationship with the Divine, but also with loved ones, community, and even oneself.

Ven. Tian Wen reminded us that we are often too quick to “fill a hole so we become whole again.” But all the speakers resonated with a common truth: sometimes, the greatest gift we can give is simply to be fully present—to listen, to hold space, and to walk alongside the person.

🙏 Beautifully moderated by Dr. Azhar Ahmad, the session was not only insightful but also deeply symbolic—taking place just before Malaysia Day, it showed how, though from different perspectives and religions, we can truly come together as one in compassion. 💛

💡 At our Seasons of Life Festival Community Day on 13 Sept, participants didn’t just attend workshops—they stepped into an interactive exhibition of reflection.

🌸 The journey began with pausing to consider what truly makes us happy 💛 and what matters most in life, then gently invited everyone to think deeper about what it means to live well—so that we may also learn to leave well.

🧶 One of the exhibits was a display of crocheted blankets, lovingly made by our Kasih Hospice Foundation volunteers. Each stitch represented a patient under our care who passed in 2023 and 2024—a tender tribute to lives remembered and cherished.

The exhibition also shared insights about palliative and hospice support care in Malaysia, reminding us that no one needs to walk this journey alone. 🕊️
