Let me looks like my old self again!!!

This beautiful young lady is devastated by the right upper which her one eye looks bigger (yes, eye not necessarily the bigger the better) leading asymmetry looking eyes. She is even more anxious as her is coming up.

Thankfully, with some adjustment of treatment, she looks absolutely normal and beautiful on her big day. She is back to her old vibrant self!!

More young people is affected with nowadays. Leading a healthy lifestyle and stress management is super important.

Isn’t it to eat and work on our bed?

This self employed person who work from home find he has persistent swelling eye. Takes some given by doctors but still not get better. After getting known his lifestyle (eat/ work/sleep on the same bed), doctor informed his lifestyle leads to persistent . Sauca ( शौच) means cleanliness are essential for eye health.

Thankfully, after rearranging his work place (move it out of his bedroom) and tidy everything out and with treatment, his eyelid inflammation getting much better.

So please listen to our mum, don’t eat and work on our bed. Keep our bed purely for !!!

Looking refreshed and !!

Poor in the study? May be because the child is not able to see the board

This girl was referred for poor in their study. Her cornea is full of and the lashes was infested wit and eyelashes was inflamed ( ). The girl was too to tell the parents that she is not able to see. Thankfully, after treatment , her study results has improved!!!

If the child is poor at his/her study, please check his/her eye to ensure there is no problems.

What to do when a super complex patients come from for your probably (10th ) opinion?

This patient who underwent an in USAunfortunately develop lower eyelid retraction , cornea exposure requiring a corneal graft and glaucoma surgery. He went to another oculoplastic surgeon who did orbital decompression and then unfortunately developed double vision . He has seen three squint surgeon previously.

Thankfully, the previous 10 years comprehensive eye training in UK helped Dr Ho to solve the puzzles as she was able to use different subspecialty knowledge. Patient went back to USA to solve his problems as he is covered by insurance there and he lives there.

Please kindly get a well qualified to do your . So happy for the patient !!! finally he have a life after 5 years of !!!

imagine suffering an illness for 15 years!!!

This girl developed progressive bilateral since young. She has seen at least 3 and some . No diagnosis was found as all tests were negative. She really lost her confidence especially in finding and social life. She want to go back to her normal 12-13 years old.

Thankfully, operation was done successfully (don’t worry about the redness in her right eye: It is called and it is harmless).
Now time to start her new life !!!

Ultrasound has become the “ It “ kit on the block in aesthetic world. It allows doctors to see structures easily without surgery. It is dynamic and is not as expensive as CT/MRI. Doing eyelid operation for a to be? A Treacherous ground to tread.

This intelligent doctor decide to correct her right before her wedding. Unfortunately the first operation did elsewhere wasn't successful. So she decided to see Dr Ho for a second opinion and she has picked up the courage to have a revision.

Thankfully, the operation is a success!!

To be honest, the outcome is not perfect as she has congenital ptosis. However, being a and person, she accepted the imperfections and happily preparing her wedding.

Many brides come for eyelid surgery as it is every girl dream to look her best. However, be aware that sometimes operation may need to be repeated and hence ample of time should be reserved for this purpose. Also please don’t get over small imperfections as no one in this world is perfect . After all , it is the imperfect face the groom falls into in the first place!!!

Our story

Dr Ho Shu Fen is a board certified oculoplastic surgeon. After getting full scholarship to study medicine in University of Melbourne, she decided to specialise in Ophthalmology. She worked under tutelage of many world renown eye surgeon in United Kingdom. After getting FRCOphth (London) and Certificate of Completion of Training in UK, she decided to subspecialise in Oculoplastics. She had her fellowship in world renown Moorfields Eye Centre in London. Being a keen learner, she also did observership in Korea Samsung Medical Centre with Prof Kim Yoon Duck and Prof Woo, Assoc Prof Theda Kontis in Baltimore and Prof Goldberg in UCLA. She also update herself regularly by attending various international conferences yearly. Since returning to Malaysia, she has been familiarising herself with Malaysians’ pathology and she is able to combine both Western and Eastern technique to treat her patients.

She can perform a wide range of oculoplastic surgeries including ptosis repair, eyelid reconstruction, DCR, eyelid and orbital decompression for thyroid eye disease, facial nerve palsy. She can also perform Asian Blepharoplasty (double eyelid surgery) and eye bags removal surgery together with non invasive management such as botulinum toxin (for wrinkle treatment and blepharospasm/hemifacial spasm), filler injection and autologous fat grafting. She is also a competent cataract surgeon who can perform complex cataract surgery with a wide variety of premium intraocular lens implant and squint surgery.

She adopted holistic management to her patients as she believe ‘eye is a window to the soul’ and eye health is reflection of general health. She currently practice in Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh, Malaysia.
