Behind the Scenes ๐Ÿค

As soon as the call for assistance came, our humanitarian mission to Aceh began. With the support of our pharmaceutical partners, we worked tirelessly to gather and pack essential medicines and test kits โ€” 30 boxes of medical supplies ready for the journey.

Heavy rain greeted us upon arrival in Medan, followed by long drives, rough roads, a punctured tyre and even 1km walks to reach isolated villages where vehicles could not pass. Our local driver was very skilful in repairing it quickly and we were off again. Despite the challenges, the team pressed on, serving communities still struggling months after the floods.

From early mornings to long days at temporary medical tents, we witnessed both heartbreak and resilience. Long queues, grateful smiles and the warmth of the Acehnese people reminded us why this mission mattered ๐Ÿคฒ.

We are deeply thankful for the kindness shown to us, the support of our partners and the unwavering dedication of everyone on the ground ๐Ÿ’™. Together, we continue to bring care where it is needed most.

From arrival to action, every moment was driven by one purpose: bringing care where it was needed most.

Our flood relief mission in Aceh brought medical teams across borders, working closely with local professionals and partners to support communities affected in Kuala Simpang and Langkat.

Led by Datoโ€™ Dr Mohamed Ibrahim A Wahid with the dedication of our doctors, nurses, support staff, partners from PMI Sumut and local medical professionals, we were able to deliver medical check-ups, assessments and timely support to families affected by the floods.

This mission would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our partners and collaborators from logistics to medical supplies, who stood with us in turning compassion into action.

More than a mission, this was a reminder that when we come together, care travels beyond borders. ๐Ÿ’™

Our Story

Beacon Hospital is a medium-sized cancer specialist hospital equipped with 100 beds and more than 80 medical specialists. Our primary focus is to provide advanced medical equipment, specialist doctors and professional nursing care to our patients with love and empathy.

Our success in establishing and managing our first Cancer Excellence Centre has inspired us to develop seven other speciality centres, namely the Brain & Spine, Bone & Joint, Eye, Menโ€™s Health & Urology, Womenโ€™s Health, Health Screening & Wellness and Clinical Research centres. These speciality centres are anchored by multidisciplinary medical specialists who have more than 20 years of individual experience, with many recognized as thought leaders in their own right, both nationally and internationally.
