ASPIRE conference concluded with a great success.

Members from and I had a great privilege to be invited to join the faculty to share our skills and knowledge to Gynaecologist from all over Asia Pacific on live surgery from Hospital Picaso on microwave ablation (by Dr Tan EePing) and near-live Robotic Assisted Adenomyomectomy (by me)—one of the most difficult surgery to the 60 participants from Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Bangladesh, Taiwan, China as well as Malaysia.

Endometriosis boleh datang balik bila penyakit tak dibuang habis. Bila hanya bakar atau kikis, yang nampak di permukaan saja hilang — tapi penyakit di lapisan bawah masih ada. Tisu yang tertinggal ni boleh terus membesar dan sebabkan sakit serta radang berpanjangan. Sebab itu pembuangan secara excision sepenuhnya penting, dibuang sampai ke tisu yang sihat. Bukan sekadar hilangkan simptom, tapi buang punca sebenar penyakit.

On Friday last year, 28/11/2025, I was in Johor Bahru for my monthly visit at Hospital Sultanah Aminah — teaching and supervising advanced minimally invasive surgery for endometriosis.

We operated on two severe endometriosis cases, each taking about four hours. I’m thankful the hospital now has a new camera system, Aesculap / Einstein 2.0 with NIR, which supports fluorescence-guided surgery.

Hormon boleh kurangkan pendarahan dan melegakan simptom, tetapi ia tidak membuang lesion of endometriosis.
Penyakit ini masih boleh kekal aktif dan terus berkembang walaupun simptom dikawal.
