WHO AM I?

What makes you, YOU? Certainly, not a topic one would readily choose, given its profound and philosophical implications. In my sessions, I sometimes present this question more palatably, with a lighter flavour. This has evolved from, "Tell me 3 things you like and dislike about yourself", to, "What would you say are your strengths and weaknesses?" to, "When you look in the mirror, what do you see?" The objective is to have an insight into my client's inner world and, more importantly, how they perceive and like themselves.

Some were able to acknowledge that their identity or self-worth was tied to success or achievements. One client, despite a very poor opinion of herself, highlighted a trait she recognized and held dear - kindness and compassion, especially towards animals. Others who have healed from traumatic histories were able to reconcile and cherish their true selves.

So, what makes up the essence of ME or YOU? The following video offers an explanation to this ambiguous question.

Nature's Lesson on Trauma

Came across this FB post (Credit: Some Amazing Facts) that made a wonderful analogy between nature and trauma.

>>Did you know that an oyster will not produce a pearl unless it has been wounded in some way?

A pearl is actually a healed wound. It forms when an irritant, like a grain of sand or a parasite, enters the oyster’s shell. To protect itself, the oyster secretes layers of a smooth, shiny substance called nacre, coating the intruder over time. Layer by layer, this process continues until a beautiful pearl is formed.

In a way, pearls are a product of pain—transforming something unwanted into something valuable. The more pearls an oyster produces, the more precious it becomes.

Hungry Hearts, Tired Minds
A conversation about stress, emotional eating, and mindful awareness

Have you ever noticed how stress quietly shapes the way we eat?

Some people lose their appetite.
Others reach for food without quite knowing why.

It’s rarely about willpower.

Often, it’s the nervous system responding to pressure, fatigue, and emotional overload.

On 28 March, we’re hosting an intimate talk show experience exploring this connection through three lenses — psychology, emotional eating, and mindfulness — and how they come together to support deeper self-awareness and healthier patterns.

You’ll hear from:

• Capriole Choy — psychological insights on stress and behaviour
• Cindy Woon — understanding emotional eating patterns
• Ainee Cha — mindfulness practices that help us pause, listen, and reconnect with the body

Participants will also experience a guided mindful eating practice, a simple yet powerful way to understand how awareness changes our relationship with food.

To complete the experience, participants will enjoy:

🥗 Poke Bowl Lunch
🍹 Free Flow Kombucha

Each participant will also receive:

• Belly Happy Wellness Goodie Bag
• Mindful Journal by Ainee Cha
• RM150 Voucher for Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage
(Traditional healing bodywork valued at RM550)

And the journey continues beyond the event.

Participants will receive 7 days of post-event support, including:

• Daily 10-minute guided meditation audio by Ainee Cha
• Access to a private reflection & Q&A group

Sometimes the first step to nourishment is simply pausing long enough to notice what we truly need.
