We’re a new kind of consultancy that combines an innate understanding of the food and service industry driven by a passion for education and development of talents.
Our Principal consultant, Mr Ivan Scott, professional career commenced with a multi-award winning international airline and it was where the foundations were set firm for him as he progressed through his career.
With his passion and in-depth business knowledge he excelled in the areas of multi-operations in the retail, food & beverage and attractions sectors with multi-country responsibilities.
Scott is a only a handful of professionals who have ever worked side by side with Michelin star chefs as a personal attaché and as the principal trainer during the World Gourmet Summit 2008. With this, Scott had the privilege to learn from culinary masters such as Michelin star chef Chris Salans and the most awarded restauranteur, the late Angelo Sanelli and also spent time in Vietnam and Thailand to study the local cuisines from master chefs.
In 2002, he partnered with The Novex Group to open the first Vietnamese Café in Singapore after returning from his stint in Vietnam. Within the first few months, under his culinary direction, the café gained a 4.5 out of 5-star rating from major food critics in Asia, even appearing for a short episode on the food channel TV 5 during that time. He also lead the F&B group in its expansion plans across Asia and widened his knowledge of culinary and service operations.
From 2006 to 2008, Scott joined a newly formed growing food group, Spize Singapore to become their Director of Culinary & Operations. In his tenure, he lead the culinary team to develop a halal menu mixed with different cuisines and increased top line revenue to averagely gross SGD $20,000 per day from 2 key outlets.
From 2008 to 2013, Scott left the culinary scene to be a corporate senior manager, where led a team as the General Manager with a European investment company in building 4 observation wheels around the world. He led on the retail, f&b and service operations component of the project and turned it into a highly profitable USD$60m per year revenue with over 350 staff under his guidance and leadership.
During this time, Scott was also appointed as the project consultant to work with Michelin star chefs for the annual World Gourmet Summit event and the SGP F1 VIP Paddock Club in 2008.
In 2009, Scott was then appointed as the principal lead service trainer for the APEC 20th Anniversary Reception Summit and again in the SGP F1 VIP Paddock Club in 2010. These events saw him train a team of 300 staff and personally serve over 50 Head of States and the Bruneian royal family.
This has led to Scott founding his own consultation business in 2013, offering his specialized expertise in the field of culinary and operations. As a certified 5S practitioner, trainer and auditor, with additional specialization in food handling systems and processes, Scott ensures that the entire eco-system and life cycle of a food business is addressed in his consultation.
Over the last 4 years, apart from having his own businesses, he continued to consult business owners on brand marketing, customer service and culinary operations, from developing hygiene and safety processes to planning and setting up large scale catering kitchens.
He currently consults food business owners to offer his wide expertise and knowledge, to expand their business. He is also a self-learned e-commerce Shopify web designer and a digital marketing practitioner, offering well-rounded solutions to food business owners.
