Tumours come in many forms and most of them are actually NOT cancerous!

Caused by an abnormal growth of cells in the body, many people often regard โ€œtumourโ€ and โ€œcancerโ€ as the same thing. Some tumours are actually benign, meaning they do not invade nearby tissues or spread to other parts of the body. Others are malignant, which is what we typically refer to as cancer.

The best way to rule out whether a tumour is benign or malignant is through proper medical evaluation.

If you are concerned about a growth, get it assessed with us:

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most complex cancers to detect and treat.

Because the pancreas is located deep within the abdomen, cancers that develop there can progress quietly until they begin to affect surrounding organs. By the time symptoms such as jaundice or abdominal discomfort appear, the disease may already be advanced. This makes awareness and timely evaluation vital.

In this video, Dr John Low Seng Hooi (Consultant Clinical Oncologist) and Dr Koong Jun Kit (Consultant General and Hepatobiliary Surgeon) share their professional insights to help raise understanding of pancreatic cancer and the importance of early recognition.

Learn more about multidisciplinary care and how medical collaboration supports better outcomes.

Before you ditch the sugar out of fear, let us set things straight.

Yes, cancer cells use glucose in our body for energy and so do all your healthy cells! Cutting out sugar completely does not stop cancer growth, and extreme restrictions can even harm your health during treatment.

What really matters is maintaining a balanced, nutritious diet to support your overall health during treatment.

Many people are unaware that colorectal cancer is among the most preventable cancers when detected early through routine screening.

Because the condition often develops quietly without symptoms in its early stages, regular screening plays a vital role in identifying changes before they progress. For most adults, screening is recommended to begin at age 45.

In this video, Dr Wong Sze Ming (Consultant General & Colorectal Surgeon) and Dr Yugarajah Asokumaran (Consultant Medical Oncologist & Physician) share key insights into colorectal cancer and the importance of screening.

Learn how early detection, awareness, and multidisciplinary care contribute to better outcomes.

Thank you to Novartis and the Ferrari Owners Club Malaysia (FOCM) for hosting an inspiring Movember 2025 event focused on advanced prostate cancer and PSMA therapy.

Our very own Dr John Low Seng Hooi, Consultant Clinical Oncologist at OncoCare, was honoured to be the speaker, sharing valuable insights on prostate cancer awareness and treatment.

The session was hosted by Malaysian actor and comedian Douglas Lim, whose presence added warmth, energy, and thoughtful engagement throughout the programme.

Events like these play an important role in raising awareness, encouraging early detection, and strengthening support for menโ€™s health.
