We are looking for a competitive Medical Sales Representative who can thrive in a fast-paced business environment.
A medical representative's job is to promote and sell their company's products, whether that's pharmaceutical drugs or medical equipment. Customers can include doctors. The medical representative will increase product awareness, answer queries, provide advice, and introduce new products.
Your goal is to increase the visibility and awareness of our company’s pharmaceutical and medical products and maximize sales growth.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Liaising with and persuading targeted doctors to prescribe our products utilizing effective sales skills
2. identifying and establishing new business
3. negotiating contracts
4. demonstrating or presenting products to doctors and deliver product samples.
5. undertaking relevant research
6. meeting both the business and scientific needs of healthcare professionals
7. maintaining detailed records
8. attending and organising trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
9. managing budgets
10. reviewing sales performance
11. writing reports and other documents
12. Keeping abreast of new developments in the medical field to determine the effect of such developments on the company's business strategies.
13. Following up on leads generated by the company.
Promotional prospects are excellent – progression can be into senior sales/managerial roles or into related employment areas such as marketing.
Requirements
Proven work experience as a Pharmaceutical Rep or in Medical Sales
Familiarity with databases, statistics, product lines and latest medical issues
Excellent communication, negotiation and sales skills
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
Strong organisational and time management skills
BS degree in relevant field
