A heartfelt thank you to HealthToday Malaysia for featuring EndoBrothers, the male-ally arm of MyEndosis, in their latest piece — “Men Need to Talk About Period Pain: Inside EndoBrothers, the Male Allies for Endometriosis.”

https://malaysia.healthtoday.net/for-her/men-need-to-talk-about-period-pain-inside-endobrothers-the-male-allies-for-endometriosis/

EndoBrothers began with a simple but powerful idea — that men can be part of the solution. Whether as partners, fathers, brothers, or friends, their empathy and understanding can change how we talk about menstrual pain and endometriosis in our homes and communities.

To our EndoBrothers — thank you for showing that compassion has no gender. Your willingness to listen, learn, and advocate helps break the silence around period pain and brings us closer to a world where women are heard, believed, and supported.

To HealthToday Malaysia, thank you for helping us keep this conversation going — one story at a time.

Thank you to HealthToday Malaysia for shining a spotlight on our MyEndosis journey in their piece “From Silence to Advocacy: How One Woman’s Pain Became Malaysia’s Voice for Endometriosis Awareness.”

https://malaysia.healthtoday.net/for-her/from-silence-to-advocacy-how-one-womans-pain-became-malaysias-voice-for-endometriosis-awareness/

When MyEndosis started, it was because pain, misinformation, and silence felt like the only path. But thanks to stories on the work we do, the conversation is changing. Through humility, courage and community, we’re transforming what it means to live and advocate with endometriosis in Malaysia.

To HealthToday, thank you for helping our voices be heard. Thank you for believing these stories matter. Every awareness raised, every misconception challenged, brings hope.

To everyone who has supported us — our team, our partners, the women who’ve shared their stories, those who’ve walked alongside us, your support gives meaning to this work. We are in this together.

Here’s to more dialogue, more understanding, and a future where every woman’s pain is recognised, validated, and treated with compassion.

Honoured to be featured in https://healthfulforu.com/ in their article - Why is health awareness limited to just one day?

https://healthfulforu.com/lets-talk/year-round-health-awareness/

In the piece, I shared about our work at Endometriosis Association of Malaysia (MyEndosis) — where our mission goes far beyond a single awareness day or even the month of March. While March is recognized globally as Endometriosis Awareness Month, we believe meaningful change comes from sustained effort, year‑round.

I’m grateful for platforms like Healthful.com that amplify these conversations, and for everyone who stands with us in this journey. Together, we can make awareness more than a moment — we can make it a movement.

Honored to have presented on ‘Bridging the Gaps: Enhancing endometriosis awareness and care across Malaysia’s diverse populations’ at the WEO pre-Congress in Sydney in May.

As part of the WEO Steering Committee, I had the privilege of sharing this session with my inspiring comrades Julia Mandeville , Emma Cox and Elsie Wandera. Together, we highlighted the importance of ensuring every voice in the endometriosis community is heard and valued.

A big thank you to Deborah Bush, WEO and Endometriosis Australia for this meaningful session. Grateful for this opportunity and hopeful for the change we can create together. 🎗️

Proud moment for MyEndosis🎗️

Our very own Jeevamalar Kumarasamy, Head of the MyEndosis Design Committee and lecturer at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, recently guided her graphic design students in creating powerful endometriosis awareness posters.

Their work was featured in a self-explanatory slide at the pre-Congress for World Endometriosis Organization (WEO) members in Sydney on 21 May — such a meaningful platform to showcase the creativity and heart behind this cause.

Jee, your passion and dedication shine through in everything you do. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 🌸 We’re so grateful to have you on the MyEndosis team.

A Scientific Workshop on Endometriosis that we at MyEndosis supported was successfully held on 27 May 2025,bringing together dedicated minds to deepen our understanding and elevate the standard of care for endometriosis.

This workshop was organized by Thomson Hospital under the guidance of Ms Lakshmi Menon in collaboration with EndometriosisCare Oxford Care Research, Monash University, and the University of Warwick.

A highlight for MyEndosis was the presentation by our healthcare representative, Evodie Paul, who shared her compelling research findings on Peer Patient Support in Therapeutic Patient Education (TPE)—a crucial approach in empowering patients through shared experience and structured education.

Although I was unable to attend in person, I was represented by Ms Kamlesh Nagaraj, MyEndosis committee member, who continues to be a strong voice in our advocacy efforts.

Congratulations to all organizers and participants for a successful and impactful event. Let’s continue pushing the boundaries of care, research, and support for those affected by endometriosis.

Thank you to the incredible Namira, President of E for Endometriosis Singapore for initiating a significant step forward in our collective journey to bring much-needed attention to endometriosis in Asia.

I was joined by endo warrior Wenny, President and founder of Endometriosis Indonesia, Dr. Ma Li, a prominent endometriosis specialist, and Dr. Annabelle Chow, a clinical psychologist who brings deep insights into the emotional impacts of this condition.

It was a day filled with powerful stories and expert knowledge that highlighted the urgent need to address the comprehensive burdens of this disease.

Together with Namira and Wenny, we are more committed than ever to advocate for and support the endometriosis community.

This event has strengthened our resolve to continue this vital conversation and push for actionable change.

On 17th May, we at Endometriosis Association of Malaysia (MyEndosis) marked a significant milestone. For the first time, we opened up the conversation about women's health issues, specifically menstrual health, with an audience that included MEN. This was not just an event; it was a transformative gathering where barriers were broken, and new bridges were built.

Convincing men to participate in discussions about menstrual health has always been challenging, but the importance of these conversations cannot be overstated. The event was a success, thanks to the initiative led by EndoBrothers and the unwavering dedication of Mr. Zachary Roland, Dr. Thanselan, and Encik Muhammad Albarr, MyEndosis team and BetterDads Malaysia.

For too long, discussions on topics like menstrual pain and fertility challenges have been held in whispers or behind closed doors. Our event aimed to change that narrative, acknowledging that men play a crucial and meaningful role in supporting the women they love.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Prasanna Supramaniam, Dr. Ahmad Zaki, Mr. Chan Fun Shin, and Mr. Prabhu Sithamparam for guiding our participants through the complexities of understanding pain, fertility challenges, emotional support, and rediscovering intimacy. Your insights were invaluable!

Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in this event. Your involvement is helping to foster a more inclusive and supportive community. Let’s continue to support and empower each other in every way possible!
