Some questions during CNY don’t sound harsh.
But somehow… they land heavy.
And in that moment, you either laugh it off,
or give an answer that doesn’t even feel like yours.
If this happens to you, it doesn’t mean you’re too sensitive.
It usually means the question touched something real.
You’re allowed to respond briefly.
You’re allowed to change the topic.
You’re allowed to say less.
You don’t have to explain your life at the dinner table.
Protecting your peace isn’t rude.
It’s self-respect.

Strength isn’t doing everything alone.
Sometimes, it’s letting someone sit with you.
Therapy isn’t here because you’re weak.
It’s here because being strong all the time is exhausting.
You can carry it alone.
But you don’t have to unpack it alone.
You don’t have to make sense of it alone.
You don’t have to heal in isolation.
Therapy isn’t someone fixing you.
It’s someone walking with you
while you figure out what you already know inside.
You can do it alone.
And you’re also allowed to ask for support.
Both can be true.

Honestly, the last thing any of us needs is another “to-do” list labeled as a resolution.
We’re officially opting out of the “New Year, New Me” pressure. At Therafriends, we don’t think you need fixing. We just think you deserve to be better supported.
Instead of a overhaul, let’s just practice some mental fitness:

Thank you for making our first psychological retreat a success.
When we planned it, there were doubts, fears, and anxieties along the way.
We wondered- would it work? Would people show up? Would we create a space that feels safe and meaningful?
And then you came.
You showed up.
Not just in body, but with curiosity, honesty, and courage.
You shared your stories, your presence, your pauses.
You reminded us that what makes a retreat truly powerful isn’t the schedule, the sessions, or the plans…
It’s the people- together, holding space for one another.
Over 2D1N, we slowed down.
We listened.
We noticed what usually gets ignored.
We sat in silence, we laughed, we reflected.
And through it all, we experienced connection, presence, and understanding.
This retreat was a moment—a pause in our busy lives—but it’s part of something bigger.
Therafriends is the community that carries this spirit forward.
A place to return to, to be seen, to reflect, and to continue this journey together.
