NASAM Petaling Jaya Last Wednesday, we made doughnuts with our advanced group patients and had a small makan-makan session together with our students. We also celebrated Mother’s Day with a simple gathering. Everyone really enjoyed the doughnut cooking session and spending time makan-makan together.

At National Stroke Association Of Malaysia (Johor Bahru), we guide stroke survivors step by step on their recovery journey 💪✨ Every exercise serves a specific purpose.

Mr. Chiang had one ultimate goal: to get back behind the wheel and drive his grandchild. 🚗💨

Not just for
independence but for duty. Grandpa duty. Great things happen when purpose drives progress. 💪🧠

Peace and Joy Begin at the Table: Our NASAM Family
For 30 years, the National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM) has walked beside stroke survivors across Malaysia — guided by the vision of our Founder, Janet Yeo.

Together with our NASAM family — survivors, caregivers, therapists, volunteers and supporters like YOU — we continue this journey with dignity and hope.

We are proud to present a special commemorative placemat set featuring the calligraphy “平安喜樂” (Peace and Joy) by artist Datuk Tan Swee Lai. The artwork is inspired by the Horse — a powerful symbol of strength, perseverance, positive energy and forward movement. The twelve horses reflect the courage and determination of stroke survivors as they continue their journey towards recovery and independence.

We are also deeply grateful to Datuk Tan Swee Lai and Tan Chooi Khim for sponsoring the production of this commemorative placemat, making this meaningful initiative possible in support of NASAM's work.

A meaningful piece for your home and a thoughtful way to support rehabilitation programmes for stroke survivors across Malaysia.

Commemorative Placemat Set — RM50 / 4 pieces (Limited Edition)

Available in Auspicious Red (Front) or Prosperous Yellow (Back)

Gardening supports recovery by improving movement, coordination, balance, mood, and confidence. It also encourages relaxation and gives a sense of purpose through simple, meaningful activities 🌿

We gained a lot of valuable knowledge today and had a meaningful, enjoyable session together. Everyone participated well and made the session even more special!

Thank you, Mr Chew, for sharing your experience with us!

✨ Every exercise serves a specific purpose. Today, Jeff show exactly why that matters. By using his weaker hand to help assemble an IKEA rack for the staff, turned purposeful training into real-life function.

Because the goal isn’t just to exercise… it’s to regain independence, one meaningful movement at a time ❤️

Outdoor walk may be limited, but our steps (and smiles) inside? Unlimited 😄✨
