May I add, prevention save quality of life? Join our walk this Saturday, Straits Green Park, Playground by the Sea.

Walking is a good aerobic exercise to boost immunity and prevent cancer.

It helps to reduce cancer recurrence too, for cancer survivors.

Health minister Dzulkefly Ahmad says most cases are detected at stage three or four, when it is too late.

27.9.25.Hari Cuci Malaysia, Penang Volunteers: 19 from Penang Adventures' Club (PAC) & 9 from Diabetic Malaysia Association, Penang Branch (DM) together we jointly collected 39.8 kg recyclables e.g. cardboards, plastic, cans etc & rubbish from Taman Arecca, roadsides, pavements, bushes, promenades, etc along Karpal Singh Drive, Penang until Shell station btween 8pm + to abt 10pm.

Teacher Lin Guanyiwei discusses diabetes.
I've always wondered why dried tofu and kelp are always a must-have at every meal.
It turns out they're specifically listed on the menu.
In fact, from the perspective of blood sugar control,
there aren't strict restrictions on the types of vegetables 🥬;
you can safely consume almost any vegetable.
Protein sources are also flexible;
fish and lean meats are both good choices.
But the most interesting thing is,
while dinners will stick to the menu,
for snacks, I'll indulge in my favorites, like barbecue and fried chicken. 😄
Control your blood sugar, but don't impose too many restrictions on yourself. That can easily lead to compensatory reactions, exacerbating the rebound!

我一直納悶為什麼每餐都少不了豆乾和海帶,
原來是菜單上就特別寫明這兩樣。

其實從控制血糖的角度來說,
蔬菜🥬並沒有嚴格限制種類,
基本上各種蔬菜都可以安心攝取;

蛋白質的來源也很彈性,
像魚類或瘦肉都是不錯的選擇。

不過最有趣的是,
正餐會乖乖依照菜單安排,
但點心的部分,就享用心靈食物選擇心中最愛的食物,例如烤肉、鹹酥雞 😄

控制血糖 但不要給自己太大約束和限制
反而容易補償心理,變成反彈更大!

👴 伯伯拿到抽血報告後,皺著眉問:「哎呀!這次怎麼一堆紅字!」
我就笑著提醒:「伯伯最近剛放假,有沒有想過是不是吃太好啦?」
伯伯馬上提高音量:「沒有!我都吃很簡單啊~肉燥飯、醬瓜、青菜、還有爌肉咬得爛爛的,多數都這些啦!」
(心裡想:伯伯您這樣吃,聽起來一點也不簡單啊😂)

聊完飲食,我建議伯伯除了早餐前血糖,也可以測量其他餐後的數據,讓自己更了解身體的變化。伯伯被「紅字」嚇到,這次特別專心聽。

結果他突然補充:「我上次跟女兒說腎臟功能不好,女兒很緊張,立刻自費買了藥物給我吃,說能保護腎臟。一吃就6–8顆,可是這次檢查數字更低!」
我一聽,趕快問:「伯伯,有沒有告訴醫師您在吃什麼藥?是什麼藥物呢?」
伯伯回答:「吉?利的 」
(伯伯也不太確定 立刻上網找圖片資料給他確認)

我跟伯伯說:「女兒真的很關心您,您自己也很擔心腎臟功能退化。不過藥物再好,還是要讓醫師知道,並且注意蛋白質攝取和電解質監控,這樣才能真正安全地保護腎臟。」

💊 【小提醒】
很多病人會自己加買保健品或藥物,但並不是吃得多就等於更好。每個人的狀況不同,藥物、補充品一定要跟醫師討論,才不會適得其反。
