UCSI Hospital warmly welcomed participants and representatives from Government Agencies attending the Negeri Sembilan Industrial Liaison Council (NSILC) & Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) / Neighbourhood Watch Meeting 01/2026 organised by NSILC.

We are pleased to share the successful treatment of a young female patient diagnosed with bilateral inguinal hernias.

To provide the best outcome, our team utilized a laparoscopic approach. Instead of traditional bilateral groin incisions, we performed the repair through three tiny abdominal incisions.

This "keyhole" technique allows for a faster recovery, less post-operative pain, and a much clearer view of the internal organs to ensures everything is safely repositioned.

A successful surgery is always a team effort. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the esteemed team at UCSI Hospital, led by Clinical Professor Dr. Yik Yee Ian, Consultant Paediatric Surgeon for their exceptional care:
1. Dr. Tan Shir Ley, Consultant Paediatrician for her timely referral.
2. Dr. Ahmad Farid bin Zulkifle, Consultant Radiologist for the critical ultrasound that confirmed the diagnosis.
3. Dr. Peggy Cheang, Consultant Anaesthetist for ensuring a safe and smooth anaesthesia process.
4. Our Ward & OT Nursing Staff for their dedicated care throughout the hospital stay.
