How did Developmental Delays start?
To answer this question, we have to go back to our very first student — let’s call him A.
A was a bright, curious child, but in his preschool classroom, he was often misunderstood. He was seen as lost — not because he lacked potential, but because the world around him didn’t quite know how to understand him.
And that’s the truth for so many children like A. When people don’t take the time to understand them, they begin to feel like they don’t belong in our world.
That’s exactly why we do what we do.
We started this journey because we saw how many children on the spectrum, and those with special needs, were being misunderstood in traditional classrooms. We wanted to create a space that not only supports them — but builds them, celebrates them, and adds to their uniqueness.
Every child deserves to be seen for who they truly are. That’s the idea behind our work.
Kalau nak tahu kenapa kami buat semua ni, kita kena balik pada pelajar pertama kami — kita panggil dia A.
A ni anak yang bijak, penuh rasa ingin tahu, tapi masa dia di prasekolah dulu... ramai yang salah faham dia. Orang nampak dia macam “hilang” — tapi sebenarnya, bukan sebab dia tak pandai. Dunia sekeliling dia je yang belum tahu cara nak faham dia.
Ramai anak-anak macam A ni rasa mereka tak ada tempat dalam dunia ni… sebab orang tak cuba nak faham mereka.
Dan dari situlah semuanya bermula.
Kami nampak sendiri betapa ramainya kanak-kanak dalam spektrum autisme dan anak-anak berkeperluan khas yang disalah faham dalam kelas biasa. Sebab tu kami nak cipta satu ruang — tempat di mana mereka boleh rasa selamat, difahami, dan diraikan.
Kami tak nak ubah siapa mereka. Kami cuma nak bantu mereka berkembang dan bersinar dengan cara mereka sendiri.
Setiap anak berhak untuk difahami, diterima, dan disayangi seadanya. Itu lah makna sebenar di sebalik apa yang kami buat.
