"During MCO / FMCO, teacher Van has helped KJ learn different skills ranging from gross motor, fine motor, thinking skills and others by doing it online. It’s difficult at first to get him to be engaged in the session when dealing with a laptop as his weaknesses were on his concentration and focus. He used to be a very quiet boy due to lack of exposure to his environment and also social impairment. Now he is able to focus better on the screen during teletherapy session and he has improved a lot on his gross motor, fine motor, thinking skills and etc with the learning and practices online and offline."

"Teletherapy is something that I refused to try at first as parents because doing at home, we do not have all the equipment / settings that are available unlike in an OT centre. Nonetheless after I joined few of the sessions, it’s an eye-opening experience for me as I will need to be prepared mentally and physically just like a “therapist” on how to guide my son to do the activities as planned by the professional therapist. These activities may require some very simple tools that are mostly available at home (𝘪𝘦: 𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘭𝘴, 𝘈4 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴, 𝘱𝘶𝘻𝘻𝘭𝘦, 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘯, 𝘤𝘰𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘰𝘹 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘵𝘤). It depends on the tasks that were assigned.
As a “therapist” in the session, it’s in fact quite a challenging task when my son has meltdowns during the activities that he refuses to perform or new tasks that he couldn’t understand. Repeating and changing strategies with the advice of professional therapist helps a lot to overcome the problem. It really helps me understand better on how to handle his meltdowns, and how to guide and improve his current state."

"Yes, I highly recommended teletherapy as parents can be fully involved and engaged in the strategies recommended by the therapist to help our children improve. The plus point is that we can repeat these tasks / strategies anytime and anywhere that we want in a home setting. It’s proven that’s this is workable and more effective."
