We are proud to share the successful performance of our first Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) procedure for knee pain at KPJ Specialist & Healthcare Centre Kinrara.

Dr. Aliza Binti Abd Mutalib
Internal Medicine Physician – Gastroenterology & Hepatology

Dr. Aliza is a highly experienced Consultant Physician with subspecialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine (UK) in 2003 and later obtained her Master’s Degree in Internal Medicine from the University of Malaya in 2011. In 2017, she was awarded a Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

With more than 10 years of experience in Internal Medicine and 6 years in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Dr. Aliza has extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of digestive and liver diseases. She has a strong clinical interest in liver diseases, particularly viral hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, and liver cancer.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Aliza is also active in academia and research. She has served as an adjunct lecturer at MAHSA University, contributed to multiple industrial-sponsored research projects, and published journals within her area of expertise. Known for her approachable personality and strong communication skills, she is dedicated to providing patient-centred care with clear explanations and effective treatment plans.
