Shame doesn’t start with you.
It starts with a moment — often in childhood — when being your true self was met with rejection, criticism, or silence.
Over time, you stopped asking:
“Did I do something wrong?”
And started believing:
“Maybe I am something wrong.”
That’s the quiet power of shame.
It hides in your thoughts, your body, your relationships — making you feel unworthy, small, or like you have to “perform” to be accepted.
But here’s the truth:

It’s a form of emotional manipulation where someone causes you to doubt your own thoughts, feelings, or memories — often making you feel confused, anxious, or even like you’re “going crazy.”

🎯 Common signs of gaslighting:
“You’re too sensitive.”
“That never happened.”
“You’re imagining things.”

Gaslighting can happen in relationships, families, workplaces — anywhere.

✨ Sitting with Your Emotions: Why It Matters ✨

Most of us are taught to “be strong” or “move on” quickly. But true healing happens when we pause and allow ourselves to feel.

💡 What does it mean to sit with emotions?
It means noticing what you’re feeling — without judgment, distraction, or trying to fix it immediately. Just being present with the emotion.

🌱 Why is it important?
When we avoid feelings, they don’t disappear. They store in the body and show up as stress, tension, or anxiety. Sitting with them helps us understand, release, and heal.

🧘‍♀️ Try this:

Find a quiet space

Close your eyes and take a deep breath

Name the emotion you feel (e.g. sadness, anger, fear)

Breathe and stay with it gently

Let it pass like a wave

Your emotions are not too much. They’re messages.
Let them speak. Let them move. Let them go.
