Our Story
Message from the President.
I am pleased to present SEED Co., Ltd, the largest disposable lens manufacturer in Japan with around 36.0 million pieces of the lens produced every month, which is enhanced by additional 10million pieces as of April 2018, total 46 million. SEED celebrated our Diamond Jubilee on 9th October 2017. It has been 60 years since we began our research and development activities in the area of conventional hard contact lenses. We worked hard to develop an RGP contact lens, later on becoming the first to launch a conventional soft contact lens and then manufacturing various type of disposable contact lens. Now, we regularly produce around 36million pieces of lenses per month.we are currently expanding our 3rd production facility in Japan to further enhance our mass production capacity. Now SEED brand is on the way to making its mark internationally. SEED product is available in Japan, China, Hong Kong and Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Mongolia, and India. In Europe, our products are available in Nordic Countries, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Portugal & Netherland. Besides focusing on our own brand, we also supply products on OBL basis to Germany as well. We are continuously expanding our international footprints all over the world. We are now in the process of pharmaceutical registration in the Gulf countries, we expect to launch our product in this region soon in 2019.
To maintain our competitive edge as an industry player, SEED not only retains its full line up of research and development activities but also at the same time, continues to develop new material with superior performance. We are also continuously seeking opportunities for further growth by bringing in medic ca oriented contact lens with advanced manufacturing technology.
