NATIONAL ANAESTHESIA DAY 2022
'BEYOND THE SCREEN' VIDEO CHALLENGE

In conjunction with World Anaesthesia Day 2022, Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah Anaesthesiology & Intensive Care Department along with Malaysian Society of Anaesthesiologists and College of Anaesthesiologists, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia have organised a video challenge called 'Beyond the Screen'.

18 teams from 16 hospitals have participated in this video challenge that highlighted anaesthesiolgists' and anaesthesia care providers' essential roles in patient care and safety.

The Organisers of MYNAD2022 'Beyond the Screen' video challenge would like to thank all teams who have sent their videos for this challenge. We hope that all teams enjoyed the process of making these videos as much as we enjoyed watching them.

'BEYOND THE SCREEN' VIDEO CHALLENGE

18 teams from 16 different hospitals have participated in this video challenge.
We have showcased their videos on our official page. Voting by Facebook 'likes' took place between 15th September and 12th October. The top 5 videos with the most 'likes' were further evaluated by a panel of jury.

Here are the winners for Beyond the Screen video challenge:

GRAND PRIZE (RM 1000): Dr Sleep (Hospital Selayang)

2nd Place (RM 600): Raintown Rangers (Hospital Taiping)

3rd Place (RM400): Pujangga HCTM (Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, UKM)

Announcement of winners and prize-giving ceremony took place at the National Anaesthesia Day event venue, Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah UiTM earlier today.

Congratulations to all winners.

Thank you to all teams who have sent their videos in for this challenge. We hope you enjoyed the process in making these videos as we enjoyed watching them too.

Voting period for Beyond the Screen video challenge has ended at 9PM on 12th October 2022. 5 videos with the most 'Likes' are currently being evaluated by our panel of jury.

5KM COSTUME RUN
Race kit collection.

1st day of kit collection at Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah (UiTM) Puncak Alam has ended.

2nd day of kit collection (Saturday, 15th October) will be at:
Lobi Bangunan Akademik,
UiTM Kampus Sungai Buloh,
Jalan Hospital, 47000 Sungai Buloh,
Selangor.
Our collection booth will open between 10 AM and 4 PM.

Event day race-kit collection (Sunday, 16th October) will be at:
Anjung Zam-Zam,
Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah (UiTM),
42300 Puncak Alam
Selangor.
Booth will open from 6.45 AM until 7.45 AM on event day.

Important notice regarding race-kit collection:
1. You are required to present your MyKad/passport and a screenshot/printout of the confirmation e-mail upon collecting the race kit.
2. You may appoint a representative to collect your race kit on your behalf. The representative must present the following:
- Representative’s MyKad/passport
- Printout/screenshot of your confirmation e-mail
- Photocopy of your MyKad/passport
3. Appointed representatives can collect up to six (6) race kits, including their own, should they be registered runners.
4. Strictly no change in T-shirt sizes will be allowed

For hospital/instutions who are still interested to join the contest, hurry and send your video (or a link to your video on a cloud drive) to us via email at myanaesthesiaday2022@gmail.com before midnight tonight.

For those who have sent their videos keep calm, like and share your videos.

The use of like-bots, fake likes or any similar method is strictly prohibited. Such 'likes' will not be counted towards the final like counts on 12th October 2022 at 9PM.

GA ONCALL STORY

A long, long time ago, there was one GA call
Oncall all alone when everyone’s on leave
He was running here and there, receive referrals everywhere
Desperately wishing that, he was on leave too
A call from ENT ward, someone with an airway case
Then he desaturate, they tried but cannot tube
He had a dream, he hopes will come true
That boss is here with him, and with CMAC too
He wished that the earth, sea, the sky up above
Will tell him it’s only CL II

Hours of oncall all alone, turned his heart into stone
Until he was on, the brink of eruption
But little did he know, piles of referrals came along
Five dengue alert cases, were waiting for him too
He had a dream, he hopes will come true
They didn’t run fluids, and no need ICU
He prays that the earth, sea, the sky up above
Can help him finish review

Now he was so ready, to passover in pantry
But received a referral at 7.52am
He had a dream that never came true
His colleague came late, his car broke down too
He wish to go home as early as he could
