Join us for the Short Video Competition in conjunction with the World Sight Day 2025 Celebration

Video Requirements:
1. 3 minutes video
2. Hospital team of 3-5 people in a group
3. The team consists of either (medical officer & specialist) OR (medical officer, specialist & paramedics)
4. One video representing one hospital
5. Theme: Theme: “ : People at the Heart of Eye Health”
*This theme encourages a global focus on putting individuals and communities first in eye care.
6. Each submission must have:
- Hospital
- Title of Video
- Team Leader (medical officer)
- Team Members

Conferment Ceremony for the Parallel Pathway Specialist Training in Ophthalmology

The 3rd Ophthalmology Conferment Ceremony for Parallel Pathway Specialist Training was successfully held on 20 July 2025 at the Academy of Medicine Malaysia. The event was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Dr. Nor Fariza Ngah, Deputy Director-General (Research and Technical Support), Ministry of Health (MOH).

At this ceremony, a total of 12 trainees who completed the Parallel Pathway Specialist Training in Ophthalmology, having obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists UK (FRCOphth), were awarded the CCST.

Congratulations to the winner, "Gold Medalist" of the College of Ophthalmologists Excellence Award for Ophthalmology Research and Publication 2024/2025.

The presenter was Dr Atikah Binti Asini.
Publication titled "Randomised controlled trial on effects of topical insulin compared to artificial tears and normal saline on tear inflammatory mediator levels and clinical parameters in diabetics with dry eye disease".
A prize of RM5,000 was awarded.
