Dari Klinik ke Keluarga – Ukhuwah Terpelihara. Family Day Jabatan ORL Hospital Putrajaya Eratkan Ukhuwah, Semarakkan Kegembiraan.

Last week, we had operated on a lady who presented with right eye diplopia. Both CT scan & MRI showed a right intraconal mass which is suggestive of orbital cavernous hemangioma.

Through an MDT discussion involving Rhinology team Hospital Putrajaya & Occuloplastic team Hospital Serdang, a consensus was made to excised the mass via endoscopic approach.

The operation was challenging as the surgical field was limited and the mass was located lateral to the medial re**us muscle and closed to the optic nerve. But in the end, we had successfully performed a complete endoscopic excision of the right intraconal mass. Alhamdulillah…

Special thanks to Ms. Komathi, Rhinologist and Skull base Surgeon and Dr. Norlaila, Consultant Occuloplastic from Hospital Serdang, for their invaluable guidance and support throughout the case.

This outcome would also not have been possible without the excellent collaboration of the Rhinology Team at HPJ – Mr. Azman, Mr. Hazim and anaest team whose dedication and teamwork were critical to the success of the procedure.

Each of us took turns in executing different steps of the surgery, leading to the complete removal of the intraconal mass — a true testament to what a committed and coordinated team can achieve!

**Right intraconal mass: a challenging case successfully operated endoscopically**

Assalamualaikum dan Salam Sejahtera,

Sedih dan pilu - baru mendapat perkhabaran dukacita dari Pengarah Hospital Kajang bahawa Ketua Jabatan ENT Hospital Putrajaya, Dr. Mazlinda binti Mahadzir telah ‘collapsed’ di Hospital Kajang sewaktu menemani anaknya menjalani prosedur di sana tadi.

Pasukan Hospital Kajang telah cuba sedaya upaya melakukan CPR, namun Almarhumah tidak dapat diselamatkan dan kembali ke rahmatulLah.

Sama-sama kita doakan insan mulia yang disayangi rakan-rakan dan warga besar KKM, serta telah banyak berkorban dan mencurah-khidmat bakti ini, dirahmati dan diampuni AlLah Azza Wajalla dan ditempatkan bersama-sama golongan yang terpilih, Al-Akhyar.

Salam takziah buat keluarga Almarhumah, yang kehilangan insan yang amat disayangi.

Kami warga kerja ORL Hospital Putrajaya turut berdukacita dan ingin mengucapkan salam takziah buat keluarga Allahyarhamah Dr Mazlinda Binti Mahadzir yang telah kembali ke rahmatullah pada hari ini 20 Februari 2025 (Khamis). Sesungguhnya pihak kami telah kehilangan seorang anggota yang sangat cemerlang dan penuh dedikasi.
