Wayn Zen Rose Cabin (previously known as Kinabalu Rose Cabin) is conveniently located just 3 minutes from the entrance to Mt Kinabalu National Park and only minutes from the picturesque mountain town of Kundasang, the renowned vegetable growing area of Sabah. Surrounded by Nature, Forest Wild life and an abundance of flowers, nestled right at the food hill of Majestic Mt Kinabalu, South East Asia’s Highest Mountain and Malaysia’s World Heritage Site. The resort not only showcases a variety of rooms, our restaurant (available for group bookings only) serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, great-unspoiled view of Mt Kinabalu and it’s forests, as well as the valley toward Kota Kinabalu. Rose Cabin is an ideal place to spend a vacation or to rejuvenate your body, heart & soul. We can easily be reached from Kota Kinabalu (KK), as it is only a 1-½ hour ride through the scenic surrounding, and is located on the major highway connecting the East of Sabah to the West. Take a long-distance shared taxi/minivan at the station near Merdeka Field (Jalan Padang) at KK city. The ride between Kota Kinabalu city and our hotel should cost RM15-RM20 per person. Taxis/minivans will only depart once they are full though, so you may have to wait a while. Alternatively, you can pay for the missing passengers and leave immediately. These taxis/minivans are heading to Ranau but will also pass by our hotel entrance. Only 25 minutes to the town of Ranau, with it’s shops, restaurants and a golf course. A further 20 minutes and you are at Poring Hot Springs. Where you can soak yourself in a hot bath, watch a variety of rare Stick insects, visit the Butterfly farm or experience the Canopy Walk. Something for the adventurous, as you walk on hanging bridges amongst the treetops and can see the forest below. On the way to Poring Hot Springs you might be able to see the Rafflesia, the World Largest Flower.
