🩺Many physiotherapist may treat patient using a fine sterile needle. Usually, this technique focus on putting the needle into a myofascial trigger point to reduce tight muscle, reduce pain, improve muscle function and releases the trigger points. This is known as Dry Needling.
👩‍⚕️Dry needling is different from acupuncture. The methods, theories and needling points are very much different.
🧠Dry needling can change the way brain perceive pain signal from the triggered muscle, as a result, very effective to treat chronic pain.
