High Efficiency Particulate Air or HEPA have an even higher performance than MERV 16. While a MERV 16 filter captures >95% of particles in the entire test range (0.3-10.0 microns), a HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particles with a size of 0.3 microns. The filtering efficiency is even higher for particles larger or smaller than 0.3 microns. HEPA filters can capture many airborne germs, and also nonliving pollutants like fine particulate matter.

Since HEPA filters are so efficient, they cause a higher pressure drop than filters with MERV ratings. Many ventilation systems are not designed for HEPA, but these filters are available as portable air cleaners or vacuum cleaners

Given their high efficiency, HEPA filters are recommended for critical healthcare applications like anterooms, isolation wards and COVID-19 patient rooms. When schools reopen after the coronavirus outbreak, ASHRAE also recommends a portable HEPA and UV air cleaner for each classroom, with at least two air rotations per hour.

Kalau anda bekerja dalam ruang pejabat, perkara ini sangat penting untuk elak satu pejabat dijangkiti. Selain dari memakai pelitup muka dan penjarakan fizikal, pengudaraan dalam pejabat juga sangat penting.

Elakkan penggunaan kipas angin peribadi (angin di tiup dari individu ke individu) , jika kipas angin menghala kepada seorang yang membawa virus maka berterbanganlah partikel partikel halus ke seluruh ruang pejabat.

Ruang bilik jangan sampai KEPAM dengan udara basi. Buka tingkap, bagi cahaya matahari masuk sekali sekala. Jika ada kipas penyedut udara ke luar lebih baik.

Ini PENTING, garis panduan CDC sangat menggalakkan penggunaan mesin penapis udara dengan fungsi HEPA. Tak perlu beli mahal mahal, min baru sahaja beli di Lazada, ambil 2 biji terus. Gunakan mesin HEPA mengikut kesesuaian ruang pejabat
