📘 Research Impact from IWOW and University of Nottingham Malaysia School of Psychology

Dr. Michael Mustafa, Prof Hazel Melanie Ramos and IWOW Phd candidate Ammar Al Mustafa recently contributed a chapter to the Research Handbook on Psychological Ownership and Management by Franziska Renz and Richard A. Posthuma

Entitled:
“Investments in Employee Development and Positive Organizational Behaviors: The Mediating Role of Job-Based Psychological Ownership.”

The chapter examines how organisational investments in employee development foster positive behaviours at work by strengthening employees’ psychological ownership of their jobs—offering insights that connect theory, evidence, and practice.

This contribution reflects our institute’s commitment to advancing research on work, and organisational effectiveness with relevance for today’s and tomorrow’s workplace

🎯 In today’s fast-changing world, staying relevant isn’t only a challenge for large corporations. Small enterprises, too, must strategically integrate technology to maintain efficiency and competitiveness. Mr Carlos Fernández, Founder and CEO of Take the Leap Sdn Bhd, shared with our MSc in Organisational Psychology students his experience of integrating technology into a micro-business model.

Take The Leap is a Malaysia-based matchmaking start-up that uses AI-driven profiling, CRM systems & social-media analytics to connect people seeking meaningful relationships. As noted by Mr Fernandez, Take the Leap is not a tech-company, but one that simply "uses tech wisely."
