Third hand smoke is more dangerous than second hand smoke. It is the type where the smoke lingers on to the place where the smoker smokes such as in the car, homes, indoor buildings, etc. The smoke sticks in the fabric, furnitures, curtains, sofa, etc and stays there causing toxic air.
The most vulnerable are those with Asthma or respiratory illnesses, babies and young children. California, USA is the first state that introduces “Third hand smoke law” whereby if someone wishes to sell their home, they must disclose if someone is/were smoker/s in the home being sold.
Passed unanimously, California Assembly Bill 455 requires homeowners to disclose any history of thirdhand smoke or va**ng residue when selling their property.
