An acute fungal infection can cause relatively rapid onset typically localised infection in a patient with prolonged untreated fungal infection. There is a two distinct rashes around the armpit area in which the hyperpigmented rashes has been present much earlier with the new inflamed rashes nearby due to recent change in immune systems for example due to recent infection (elsewhere) or use of steroid or newly diagnosed diabetes

Jangkitan kulat akut boleh menyebabkan gejala muncul dengan cepat dan biasanya melibatkan kawasan tertentu, terutamanya pada pesakit yang telah mengalami jangkitan kulat yang lama tetapi tidak dirawat. Dalam kes ini, terdapat dua jenis ruam yang berbeza di kawasan ketiak — satu ruam yang telah lama wujud dan berpigmentasi gelap, manakala satu lagi ruam baru yang meradang muncul berhampiran kawasan tersebut. Ini mungkin berlaku disebabkan oleh perubahan sistem imun, contohnya akibat jangkitan baru di tempat lain,penggunaan steroid, atau diabetes yang baru didiagnosis

Tinea Incognito is a fungal skin infection, like ringworm, that has been misdiagnosed with topical steroid for prolonged period of time leading to changes in its typical appearance. Instead of the usual scaly, raised border it can present with a less defined border, pustules and even mimic other skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis. Sometimes blister can form in a more severe and deeper infections. Primary treatment is stopping all form of steroid, and use of topical or oral anti fungal depending on severity and location of the infection

Tinea Incognito ialah jangkitan kulat pada kulit, seperti kurap, yang telah tersalah diagnosis dan dirawat dengan krim steroid untuk tempoh yang panjang. Ini menyebabkan rupa asal jangkitan berubah dan menjadi sukar dikenali.

Berbeza dengan kurap biasa yang mempunyai sempadan yang jelas dan bersisik, Tinea Incognito mungkin muncul dengan sempadan yang kabur, pustul, dan boleh menyerupai keadaan kulit lain seperti ekzema atau psoriasis. Dalam kes yang lebih teruk dan mendalam, gelembung berair (blister) juga boleh terbentuk.

Rawatan utama ialah berhenti menggunakan semua jenis steroid, dan memulakan rawatan antikulat, sama ada secara sapuan (topikal) atau makan (oral) bergantung kepada tahap keterukan dan lokasi jangkitan.

Acute urticaria or hives is a skin condition characterised by itchy raised patches (wheals) that appear suddenly often triggered by allergic reaction to foods, medications, infection (virus, bacteria, fungal) or physical stimuli (heat or cold changes, sunlight, exercise). The first step is identifying potential triggers and avoiding. Sometimes for severe case antihistamine and corticosteroid maybe used. Other treatment such as soothing lotion, cold compress or taking cool showers may be helpful to relieve the itch

Systemic sclerosis or also known as scleroderma is a chronic autoimmune disease characterised by hardening and thickening of skin and connective tissue. It may also affect other internal organs like the lungs, heart, kidneys and digestive system. There is no cure for this conditions but early treatment may slow down progression of the disease. One of the characteristic skin changes are specific pigmentation patterns characterised by mixture of light and dark spot resembling salt and pepper and it’s appropriately called salt-and-pepper skin pigmentation often misdiagnosed as early vitiligo or Tinea versicolor

Hypertensive urgency is a situation of severe hypertension, systolic blood pressure more than 180 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure more than 120mmgHg without evidence of acute stroke, heart attack or serious end organ complications. Hypertensive emergency on the other hand accompanied by signs of organ damage such as to the brain (stroke), heart (myocardial infarction, heart failure), kidney (impaired renal function) and eye. Hypertensive emergency requires immediate medical attention and IV blood pressure medication and organ support treatment. Patient may experience symptoms such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, headache, blur vision, weakness, confusion or seizures. If you have high blood pressure, do have a proper follow-up with your doctor to prevent these complications in the future

Boil or furuncle is a deep folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicle caused by bacteria named Staphylococcus Aureus resulting in a painful swollen area caused by an accumulation of pus and dead tissue. Boil may clear up on its own but more often will need to be opened and drained. Antibiotic is recommended treatment to clear the infection

Acute paronychia is a very sudden and painful infection of the nail folds often caused by bacteria and usually occurs after a minor injury such as hangnail, nail biting or cut. Untreated this can cause formation of abscess in this case requiring drainage and antibiotic treatment
