A big thank you to the Diploma in Nursing students from University of Wollongong, UOW Malaysia for visiting Woodrose Senior Residences as part of their Community Engagement Program.

ASEAN+ROK Conference Delegation Visits Woodrose Senior Residences, Highlighting Collaborative Efforts in Elder Care

On 2nd July 2025, Woodrose Senior Residences had the distinct honour of hosting delegates from the ASEAN+Republic of Korea (ROK) Conference on Care and Support for Older Persons.

The visit aimed to provide an insightful overview of the facility’s comprehensive care services and to promote international collaboration in elder care.

The delegation was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Kwak Sunheon, Director General of the Bureau of Health Policy, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Republic of Korea; and Yang Berusaha Dr. Satish Ranggayah, Secretary of the International Relations Division, Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, Malaysia. Also in attendance was Tuan Mohd Azahari bin Mohd Daud, Director of the Policy and International Relations Division, Department of Social Welfare.

This visit underscores the importance of regional cooperation in enhancing the quality of life for older persons and in advancing best practices in elder care.

The recently completed event on 31/5/2025, a collaborative initiative with Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) successfully brought together university students and elderly residents for a meaningful community engagement experience.

Held at Woodrose Senior Residences 1 and 2 in Shah Alam, the program featured interactive activities such as ice-breaking games, group conversations, and storytelling sessions, all designed to foster intergenerational bonding and provide emotional support to the residents.
