👏🏻Congratulations to Dr Haizul Ikhwan Murat (Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad, Temerloh, Pahang) for leading the Malaysian Ocular Trauma Research (MOTR) Group. Spanning 48 study sites across the nation, the milestone highlights the synergy between our researchers and clinical teams. On 26 February 2026, the Institute for Clinical Research (ICR) was pleased to host 28 nursing and health science students from the International University of Health and Welfare Japan, as part of the Management and Science University (MSU) Edu-Tourism Programme.
The visit provided a valuable platform for international engagement at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Malaysia. Coordinated by Dr Norshahiratul Atiqah, we were honoured by the presence of our Director, Dr. Carren Teh, alongside the Heads of Centres (HOCs), who shared their insights and provided the students with a comprehensive overview of Malaysia’s clinical research landscape.
A key highlight of the visit was the tour of the AI Community Centre (AICC), ICR’s hub for digital health innovation and collaboration, where the students learned how collaborative thinking and technology come together to drive medical advancements. We hope our guests left with meaningful insights into how we translate our motto, “Research that Matters to Patients,” into real-world healthcare solutions.

✨ High-Profile Visit at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah✨

26 February 2026 - The Respiratory Department and CRC HSB were deeply honoured to receive a distinguished visit from 𝐊𝐃𝐘𝐓𝐌 𝐓𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐮 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐝𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐡

Tuanku had previously been briefed on the LEDANG trial and the efficacy of Nivolumab treatment through her connection with the CEO of CRMY, our valued collaborator for the LEDANG study which sparked her keen interest in the trial.

Tuanku expressed her appreciation and pride upon learning that the Lead Principal Investigator and the central coordinating team for LEDANG are based at HSB, Kedah.

Dr. Arvind and Prof. Cheong (CRMY) delivered an insightful briefing on the LEDANG trial, and the patients were truly thrilled and encouraged by the session.

We are deeply grateful for Tuanku support and recognition towards our clinical research efforts 🌿
