On 26 February 2026, the Institute for Clinical Research (ICR) was pleased to host 28 nursing and health science students from the International University of Health and Welfare Japan, as part of the Management and Science University (MSU) Edu-Tourism Programme.
The visit provided a valuable platform for international engagement at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Malaysia. Coordinated by Dr Norshahiratul Atiqah, we were honoured by the presence of our Director, Dr. Carren Teh, alongside the Heads of Centres (HOCs), who shared their insights and provided the students with a comprehensive overview of Malaysia’s clinical research landscape.
A key highlight of the visit was the tour of the AI Community Centre (AICC), ICR’s hub for digital health innovation and collaboration, where the students learned how collaborative thinking and technology come together to drive medical advancements. We hope our guests left with meaningful insights into how we translate our motto, “Research that Matters to Patients,” into real-world healthcare solutions.
