Avisena Specialist Hospital is pleased to welcome Dr Koh Ka Ho as our new Resident Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon!😁

Dr. Koh earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Obstetrics from the National University of Ireland in 2010. He subsequently completed his Master of Orthopaedic Surgery from Universiti Malaya in 2022.
To further enhance his clinical expertise, he completed a Fellowship in Pain Management (Basic) at Daradia Pain Clinic Kolkata in 2024, with special interest in arthroplasty, sports surgery and pain intervention.

We look forward to the expertise and care he brings to our patients and community!

Previously known as DEMC Specialist Hospital, the name AVISENA was inspired by AVICENNA or IBNU SINA (in Arabic), A persian physician astronomer, mathematician, poet and author from the Islamic Golden Age. He wrote more than 400 books on medicine and philosophy. His seminal works, THE BOOK OF HEALING and THE CANON OF MEDICINE are considered medical encyclopedias taht have remained in use and are still relevant after 1,000 years; truly withstanding the tests of time and synonymous with greatness in the medical field.

The Logo itself is a representation of the Ancient Greek symbol for Air, one of the most important elements for all life. The ribbon like design is associated with the gentleness of human touch.
