To All Sabarimala Devotees Attention, kindly read below guidelines and instruction carefully during the monthly Sabarimala yathra..
1. Private Vehicles bringing people will have to stop at Nilakkal.
2. Nilakkal to Pamba: KSRTC bus service will be available. Buy a coupon from Nilakkal for to and fro journey. Bus will not have a conductor.
3. Once you reach Pamba, via Triveni Bridge, through Ayyappa Sethu, you must enter the service road. From here you will be heading to Ganapathy Kovil via Government Hospital.
4. Walking bridge over Pamba has been closed.
5. From Tirveni to Aarattukadavu many places have witnessed landslides and the mud is still wet at some places. Please be careful & extra cautious and avoid the muddy area completely.
6. Bathing facilities is being provided in one specific area at Pamba and kindly look for the signage and do not enter the Pamba river at any other spots.
7. Follow and abide by the instructions provided by the security personnel.
Hilltop parking area opposite to the Pamba police station is damaged. Do not climb the Hilltop.
8. The side wall adjacent to the Pamba Petrol Bunk from the U-Turn to Aarattukatavu Bund is completely destroyed therefore avoid walking close to this area.
9. There are a lot of snakes, especially in the forest. Please be careful.
10. Do not enter prohibited areas.
11. Please carry sufficient drinking water.
12. Avoid carrying plastic bottles. Plastic is banned in Pamba.
13. Plastic items are not allowed inside the Irumudi.
14. Meals and food is available at Nilakkal.
15. Only carry a necessary lights snacks.
16. There is water shortage in general after the recent floods as the water sources are blocked. Please use minimal water as possible; avoid wastage.
17. At Nilakkal, Bio toilets are being prepared. After Nilakkal, toilet facilities are limited.
