Sahasra Yoga Retreat – A Journey Within..

Sahasra Yoga Retreat was held at Sebayu Retreat Gopeng from 10th to 12th April 2026.
The location itself was truly breathtaking—nestled between mountains, surrounded by lush greenery, with misty early mornings and vibrant sunrises and sunsets that naturally lifted our energy and brought a deep sense of serenity.
Our days began as early as 5:30am with yoga practice, pranayama, and meditation. One of the most powerful aspects of the retreat was the daily 30 minutes of silence—no communication, no gadgets, just being with ourselves.
This silence allowed us to turn inward, reflect deeply on our lives, and reconnect with our true nature. In the midst of our busy routines and constant interactions, silence becomes essential. It has the power to transform our energy in the right direction—guiding us from being purely mind-driven to becoming more heart-centered.
We also had enriching two-hour yoga study sessions focused on the Pancha Pranas, Chakras, and Pancha Koshas, and how they influence our body and mind. Through guided pranayama and asana practices, we explored ways to bring balance to these subtle energies.
We reflected on the teachings of Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, specifically Sutras 1.15 and 1.16 on Vairagyam (detachment), drawing insights from the book Making Patanjali Palatable by Manoj Kaimal, based on Sage Vyasa’s commentary. These teachings gave us a deeper understanding of letting go and cultivating inner freedom.
Evenings were equally fulfilling, with yoga asana sessions followed by moments of relaxation at the swimming pool. Early dinners were followed by heartfelt sharing sessions, where participants opened up about their yoga journeys. These moments were deeply touching, and I will cherish them as a reminder to continue giving my best to all.
It was wonderful to see new participants experiencing their first retreat and truly enjoying the process. Their openness and enthusiasm added a beautiful energy to the group.
The final day was filled with joy and laughter through fun, yoga-inspired games like yoga musical chairs. We concluded the retreat with a gratitude practice and a symbolic letting-go ritual—writing down what we wished to release and burning it, allowing ourselves to feel lighter and renewed.
A special mention to the wonderful team at the resort, especially Manager Agnes, for their warmth and support. The chef’s creativity with the vegetarian spread was truly appreciated, especially as it was their first time hosting a yoga retreat.
As we spent these 3 days and 2 nights together, we created not just memories, but meaningful connections. On the final day, we said our goodbyes with cheerful hearts, returning home with rejuvenated energy, clarity, and a deep sense of peace within.

🌿 International Day of Yoga & 14th Anniversary Celebration 🌿

We had a wonderful time celebrating the International Day of Yoga along with our 14th Anniversary at Central Park, Setia Alam, surrounded by Students, friends, and the serene embrace of nature.

🧘‍♂️ The theme shared during the session was "Raga (Attraction) and Dvesha (Aversion)"—how these opposing forces influence our everyday lives, and how true yogic living is about maintaining a balanced state amidst them. Like a river in flow, we must learn to move with life, neither clinging nor resisting.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who joined and made the day so meaningful!

✨ Anniversary Special Offer!
To mark this milestone, we’re offering a special promotion:

Bali Retreat 2025 🌺

Here are some more glimpses from our unforgettable Bali Retreat!

This year, we deepened our practice through the wisdom study of the Yoga Sutras, using insightful references from my teacher’s book Making Patanjali Palatable. It was truly heartwarming to see our youngest participant, 14-year-old Tia, engaging so deeply. She beautifully shared that “Yoga is about connection — within and around us, flowing with life, and learning how to navigate our own mind and emotions.”

No retreat in Bali feels complete without soaking in the sacred energy of the island — we visited temples, experienced the joy of the Bali Swing, indulged in delicious chocolate and aromatic local coffee, and of course, immersed ourselves in spiritual practice.

We returned home nourished, inspired, and rejuvenated 🌿🧘‍♀️✨

🌿 Yoga Retreat to Bali 2025 – A Journey to the Self 🌺

Our Yoga Retreat to Bali began earlier this year with great excitement and anticipation from all our students. After careful planning, we chose the serene and nature-bound BeingSattvaa Retreat Villa in Ubud, Bali—a truly idyllic setting surrounded by lush rainforest and vibrant green paddy fields.

From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were captivated. The view was absolutely mesmerizing—as we arrived, we looked up to see a dark sky painted with the Milky Way, stars twinkling like diamonds in the vast expanse. It was a breathtaking sight that set the tone for the magical days ahead.

The air was fresh and crisp, with the weather perfectly pleasant in the mornings and evenings. The resort itself felt like a hidden garden—lush with greenery and fragrant blooms. One of the most special highlights was witnessing the rare Brahma Kamalam flower, which blooms only once a year and only at night. Its sweet fragrance and divine beauty felt like a true blessing.

As we settled into the rhythm of the retreat, we were greeted by the soothing sounds of nature—chirping birds, gentle rustling leaves, and the hum of jungle life. It was the perfect backdrop for our journey inward.

🧘‍♀️ Our Practice: Stillness and Strength

Each day began with early morning asana practice, followed by pranayama and meditation. One of our most profound sessions took place in a small, cozy hut built around a sacred tree. The energy in that space was deeply grounding—we sat together in stillness for over 30 minutes, surrounded by nature’s quiet power.

We also practiced periods of silence, allowing ourselves to simply be, without conversation—just presence.

Our wisdom sessions were based on the timeless teachings of the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, particularly sutras 1.7 to 1.14 from the Samadhi Pada. These were guided by insights from my teacher Manoj Kaimal’s book, Making Patanjali Palatable. We explored each sutra in depth, reflecting and discussing how to integrate these teachings into our daily lives.

The sessions sparked deep interactions and reflections, and we ended each with heartfelt sharing—how the sutras resonated with each student, and how they could embody the wisdom off the mat.

✨ Grateful and Rejuvenated

Sharing these graceful moments in Bali has been a true blessing. Each day was a gentle unfolding—a return to simplicity, clarity, and connection. As we closed the retreat, we all felt a profound sense of renewal and empowerment.

Thank you, Universe, for aligning the paths that brought us together on this sacred journey.
