亲友携礼相互拜访，晚辈向长辈拜年，称为“贺新岁”，传递的是祝福与感恩，也是中华文化中最温暖的人情味。

民间在正月初一亦有许多传统习俗与讲究，例如避免扫地、动刀剪或往屋外泼水，寓意留住福气、守住财气。这些习俗虽源于古礼，但都寄托着人们对平安顺遂、岁岁安康的美好期盼。
