: Story

While walking through the woods with a group of frogs, two of them fell into a deep pit. The other frogs told the two frogs they were dead when they realised how deep the pit was. The two frogs ignored the remarks and did their hardest to leap out of the pit. The other frogs continued telling them to stop, that they were dead as a result of their actions. Finally, one of the frogs decided to give up after listening to the other frogs. He fell down and died.

The second frog continued to jump as high as he possibly could. The frogs yelled at him once more to stop hurting himself and just die. He jumped higher and higher until he was able to escape. "Did you not hear us?" the other frogs said when he emerged. The frog claimed he could not hear them because he was deaf. They were always encouraging him, he thought.

📌Moral of the story
The tongue has both life and death power. A kind word to a depressed person might boost them up and help them get through the day. As a result, be careful about what you say. Speak life to people who come into contact with you. Words have power... It's sometimes difficult to understand how much an encouraging remark can mean

Today

One day, a farmer was looking for a water source for his farm, when he bought a well from his neighbor. The neighbor, however, was cunning. The next day, as the farmer came to draw water from his well, the neighbor refused to let him take any water.

When the farmer asked why, the neighbor
replied, “I sold you the well, not the water,” and walked away. Distraught, the farmer went to the emperor to ask for justice. He explained what had happened.

The emperor called on Birbal, one of his nine, and wisest, courtiers. Birbal proceeded to question the neighbor, “Why don’t you let the farmer take water from the well? You did sell the well to the farmer?”

The neighbor replied, “Birbal, I did sell the well to the farmer but not the water within it. He has no right to draw water from the well.”

Birbal said, “Look, since you sold the well, you have no right to keep the water in the farmer’s well. Either you pay rent to the farmer, or take it out immediately.” Realizing that his scheme had failed, the neighbor apologized and went home.

Long back, a young boy named James lived in a deserted village, located in the vicinity of a desert. He was an educated person and doing business in surrounding areas. He had a beautiful wife and cute son in his family. But he was not happy with his life, every now and then he had to face a new problem in life. He always used to get worried and kept thinking about the problems. Once a Saint from distant city of James came along with caravan of 100 camels outside his village and decided to stay there for few days.

Soon, there were talks all around the nearby villages that Saint solves the problems of people with his wisdom. People began to reach him with their problems. James also came to know about this, and he also decided to visit the saint. When James reached the place, there was a huge crowd of hundreds of people. After waiting for long time James turn came for meeting with saint. He asked Saint, “Holy man, I am very unhappy with my life, all the time, the problems surround me. Sometimes the business tension is there, sometimes family problems, and sometimes I am worried about my health. Please tell such a solution that all the problems from my life come to an end and I can live happily.”

Saint smiled and said, “Son, it is very late today. I will give your answer tomorrow morning … but will you do a small thing for me…?” James agreed to do the needful for the Saint. The Saint said, “Look son, there are hundred camels in our caravan. The caretaker of them has fallen sick today. I want you to take care of them tonight. Just ensure that all the camels sit down and take proper rest. When all the hundred camels will sit down; then you can also go and sleep.” After guiding James, the saint went to his tent.

The next morning, saint met James and asked, “My son, I hope you had quality sleep last night”. James felt miserable and replied, “No, I could not sleep even for a single moment, I tried a lot; but I could not make all the camels sitting down.. !!! ”

Saint smiled and said “I knew this would be the case. So far, it has never happened that all these camels sit together !!!”James asked in the voice of anguish, “Then why did you ask me to do this?”

Saint replied, “Son, did you notice what have you experienced last night? No matter how much you tried, all the camels did not sit together … if you ensured the camels on one side have sat ; then on other side you would have found few others camel standing.”

Saint continued, “Similarly; when you solve one problem, then for some reason or other you will find problems keep coming in life. As long as you will live, these problems will keep arising … sometimes less and sometimes more…. ”

“So what should we do?”, James asked curiously.

Saint replied, “Despite these problems, learn to enjoy the life. If you noticed what happened last night, there were many camels which sat down by themselves, for many of you had to put some effort, but many camels did not sit even after your enormous efforts.”

James confirmed that exactly same happened last night.

Saint smiled and said, “And, if you went back after some time, you would have found that some of camels who did not sat even after your lot of efforts have now sat themselves.” James replied, ” Yes, it happened last night.”

Saint asked, “Did you understand something from this?” James did not have any answer and was looking towards saint with curious eyes. The saint continued, “Problems are like camels, some problems get solved themselves, some get solved when you put some effort … and some problems do not get solved, even after trying your best. Trust the timings of your life and leave such problems on time. At right time these problems themselves will come to an end.” James was stunned with camel sitting metaphor. Now he had altogether new perspective towards problems of life.

*Lessons from the motivational story*

As saint mentioned in this short motivational story, if there is life then some problems will always exist. But this does not mean that you keep thinking about them all day long. If that happens, then the caretaker of the camels can never sleep. Put your best efforts to solve the problems. Even after you best efforts, if few problems are not in your control, keep such problems aside and enjoy life. Live the life mindful way and have peace of mind. When their time comes those problems will get solved themselves. Learn to thank god for the blessings he had already given, sufferings will diminish itself.

Today

There was a highly skilled carpenter who was just about to retire. He was retiring after a long and dedicated career in building houses. He was master in his work and was extremely famous for his extra ordinary work.

At the very beginning of his career, when he joined a prominent contractor, he had been required to make a very special promise. The carpenter had to promise the contractor that every house he built, would be built as if it was the most important project he had ever been given. He also had to promise that every house would be built with full of creativity, dedication, love and care.

Getting ready to retire, the carpenter went into his boss’s office to inform him about his plans. The carpenter said, “The house I have just completed would be my last. I would like to retire from the services now”.

The boss said, “I am sorry to see you are leaving our organization. May I request you to be kind enough to do a final favor for me?”

The carpenter replied, “Please sir, tell me what can I do for you?”

The boss said, “Just build me one more house, then you’re free to go.”

The carpenter, who respected his boss to a great extent, agreed and immediately started to work on the new house. But unlike every other house he had built over the past few years, he did not use the full extent of his expertise with this final one. He took every shortcut he knew, to finish the project in record time. The only reason behind it was, he wanted to begin his second innings after retirement at the earliest. He cut corners, used inferior material and hurried to get the task over with.

Within weeks, the carpenter completed the house. And finally, the carpenter called his employer and showed him the house.

The employer was very happy and grateful to him. He said to the carpenter in a gentle tone, “Thanks for doing this personal favor for me”.

Then the employer handed over the carpenter some papers and keys to the front door and said, “These are for you. The house you just built is my parting gift for all your years of hard work and dedication.”

The carpenter was astounded. He could not believe that the home he had just built was his own. If he had known this, he would have put his very best into it.

Moral of the Motivational Story

The motivational story -“The Retiring Carpenter” communicates a very strong message. You must keep your promises and fulfill your commitments. The carpenter broke his early promise. He failed to keep the promise he had made to his employer and to himself, the promise that he would do his work with excellence and true mastery of his craft. As a result he did not put in his full efforts to build his own house. Just because he breached his commitment, he ended up living in the only inferior home that he had ever built.

Similarly, in our life we break promises and end up living in less than ideal circumstances, circumstances that we have created by our own actions. The short motivational story makes us to realize that whatever we do in our day to day life, we should do it with utmost passion and love just like its for your own self.

Therefore, build wisely !!! Hope you have a great life !!!

So that’s all from my side in this post. Over to you now, I and Invajy readers would love to hear your thoughts and learning from this motivating story. Please feel free to share them in comments section.

The donkey told the tiger: The grass is blue.
The tiger replied: No, the grass is green.
The discussion became heated, and the two decided to submit the issue to arbitration, and to do so they approached the lion.
Before reaching the clearing in the forest where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey started screaming: ′′Your Highness, isn't it true that the grass is blue?"
The lion replied: "True, the grass is blue".
The donkey rushed forward and continued: ′′The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts me and annoys me. Please punish him".
The king then declared: ′′The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence".
The donkey jumped with joy and went on his way, content and repeating: ′′The grass is blue"..
The tiger accepted his punishment, but he asked the lion: ′′Your Majesty, why have you punished me, after all, the grass is green?"
The lion replied: ′′In fact, the grass is green".
The tiger asked: ′′So why do you punish me?"
The lion replied:
That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is not possible for a brave, intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey, and on top of that to come and bother me with that question
The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who doesn't care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on discussions that make no sense... There are people who for all the evidence presented to them, do not have the ability to understand, and others who are blinded by ego, hatred and resentment, and the only thing that they want is to be right even if they aren’t.
When ignorance screams, intelligence shuts up. Your peace and tranquility are worth more.

Today

There was once a man who lived with his three sons. His sons were hard workers, but they constantly fought with each other.

Even though the man continuously tried to help his sons make peace with each other, he was never successful. In fact, their fighting got to a point where their neighbors would make fun of them.

Eventually, the father became ill. He begged his sons to learn how to work together because of his impending death, but they didn’t listen. The father then decided to teach his sons a practical lesson to help his sons forget their differences and become a united team.

The father called his sons and said, “I’ll give you each an equal collection of sticks to break in half. Whoever breaks the sticks the fastest will be rewarded.”

After agreeing to the task, the father gave each of his sons 10 sticks and instructed them to break each stick in half.

This task took the sons mere minutes to complete, but once they were finished, they started to fight about who finished first.

The father said, “Dear sons, the task isn’t finished. Now I’ll give each of you 10 more sticks, however, you must break the sticks in half as a bundle rather than snapping each one separately.”

His sons agreed and attempted to do what he had asked. They each tried their best, but none could break the bundle in half.

They told their father that they had failed.

In response, their father said, “See, it was easy to break the sticks in half individually, but you couldn’t break all 10 of them at the same time. Similarly, if the three of you stay united as a team, nobody will be able to harm you. However, if you fight all the time, anyone will be able to defeat you. Please come together as a united team.”

This lesson helped the man’s sons understand the power of being a team and promised their father that, moving forward, they would work together as a team, no matter what the situation was.

The Moral:

Being an effective member of a team helps contribute to the overall moral and motivation of the team.

Strong teams are naturally aligned to work harder, support each other, and be cooperative with working toward a mutual goal.

Individuals each have diverse talents, strengths, and weaknesses to contribute to teamwork, so staying focused on the task at hand rather than allowing personal disputes to get in the way will help you achieve your desired results.
