GP'S STAND TOGETHER
TODAY is Black Monday, and you will see your family doctors all wear black, as a sign that we are ALL asking for changes.
What are we asking for?
1. Unrevised Fee schedule since 2006.
2. Complete absence of TPA (third party administrator) regulations
since 1990s..
3. Price display policy in private healthcare. MOH needs to think
this out.
There shouldn't be a retail feel as to how we dispense medication to patients. If you need to know the price, you only have to ask. If you are a long term patient and i want to charge you less, i will. You have free choice for medications once making payments at the counter. If patient starts shopping for the cheapest medication then we doctors senang je, will mark up consulation costs (oh shocking), give only advise, refer, prescribe and write mcs. Our patients can just go travel to a pharmacy and buy your medication. Maybe we won't even keep much meds. Maybe i'll just give paracetamol for everything.
4. Action against unregulated practitioners, Non PHFSA registred facilities providing health services.
Apa yang kita perlukan?
Reformasi Kesihatan berkaitan polisi-polisi melibatkan klinik swasta. Isu-isu utama yang perlu diambil perhatian oleh pihak KKM adalah : 1. Fi Konsultasi yang tidak disemak sejak 2006. 2. Tiada regulasi undang -undang mengatur tata kelola TPA / MCO 3. Undang-undang baharu yang mewajibkan pameran harga
ubatan di dalam klinik adalah tidak munasabah.
