⚕️🎓The exit assessment for the 3rd year MFM subspecialty fellows which was held on the 24th of July in Putrajaya and culminated on 11th August 2025 at HTA with written exam as well as hands on scanning of complex fetal cases. All of them did well and have successfully completed their fellowship pending their journal publications. Congratulations and welcome aboard to the MFM faculty 💪🏽🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 🎉

🔬🩺 An honour and privilege to be part of the Jawatankuasa Kecil Subkepakaran Maternal Fetal Medicine JPPOBG 2025 - 2027, under the leadership of Dr Roziah (HTAA). The 1st meeting was held on the 10th of March 2025 to interview the KKM candidates applying for the MFM subspecialty fellowship and those already in the programme at the universities.

The committee members are Dato Dr Bavanandan (MFM Society Malaysia), Dr Rafaie (Hospital Umum Sarawak), Dr Buvanes (HTA), Dr Amilia Afzan (HPUPM), Dr Nuryuziliana (Hospital Melaka) and myself as the private sector representative.

It was my first time stepping into HTA, and the hospital is huge! It had a lot of open spaces and places for the patients or relatives to relax while awaiting their appointment.

It was wonderful to see some familiar faces amongst the candidates, as some were my MO trainees during their MFM rotation. Brought back some good and some not so good memories 😅.

10 years ago, I was doing my subspecialty training in the UK. Never had I envisioned that I would leave KKM one day. Well here I am today ☯️

🌺 🌷Floral themed Retirement party for Dr Malar 🌻🌼
It was so good to meet up with the HTAR colleagues. Such lovely memories, to cherish and remember the good old times with comrades from the old Klang GH labour room, to the new KRIBA building. Despite being there for 1+years, Klang did leave a huge impact on me 😅 Albeit arriving a bit late on the 22nd of February 2025 for the event, glad I managed to catch up with so many friends. The highlight for me was when Kak Chin literally carried and spinned me around 🤯 One of the best and most efficient Maternity OT staff. Only drawback was that my SN Kaladewi was not there, as she was in India for the Kumbmela. Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Rahimah, the 💎 of Klang.

🌟 Oh my 🫀.
This was a wonderful close knit fetal echocardiography course held on the 12th and 13th of January. Heartbeats Beyond Borders - International Fetalheart Workshop 2025 organised by the Maternal Fetal Medicine Society of Malaysia.

It was extremely enjoyable with the detailed explanation from the experts Dr Prashant and Dr Ramamurthy; with the heart dissection, hands on session and the amazing scan images.

A good catch up with the MFM fraternity, the Paediatric cardiologists, sonographers and the Voluson team. A great start of 2025!
