The Genetic Counsellor Day 2024 continued on November 16th with a refreshing morning walk followed by an uplifting Zumba session! 💃🏻 We then have public talks delivered by our dedicated clinical geneticist and genetic counsellors. These sessions were followed by beautiful community musical performances and a joint choir with the GCSM committees! The day concluded with a heartfelt sharing moment with our families and patients from rare disease support groups, which brought us all closer together.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a role in making this event a success; your support and dedication have truly made a difference. We are sincerely grateful to Penang for welcoming us and for being part of this meaningful journey, and we hope to see your smiling faces again at our future events!

On 15th November 2024, the Genetic Counselling Society Malaysia (GCSM), alongside Hospital Pulau Pinang, came together to hold the Genetic Counsellor Awareness Day 2024 in Penang. We began with the genetic counselling certification athway workshop, leading into a fruitful conference filled with shared knowledge and experiences. This meaningful event was a true testament to our community, made possible by the generosity of our esteemed speakers, our wonderful sponsors, and the dedicated support groups. Most importantly, we are deeply grateful for the unwavering commitment of our organizing committee members, whose hard work and passion made this gathering such a success.
