๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ ๐ง๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง?
Staying up scrolling, watching showsโฆor even working.
Staying up late might feel like โme timeโ after a long day.
BUTโฆ. your body may be paying the price quietly. When sleep goes missing, your hormones start misbehaving.
Your body starts increasing ghrelin (the hormone that makes you feel hungry), while lowering leptin (the one that tells you youโre full). So even if youโve eaten enough, you may still find yourself craving snacks, especially sugary or high-calorie foods.
Then comes the next waveโฆ
With less sleep, your cortisol (stress hormone) stays higher than it should. This can leave you feeling restless, easily irritated, and mentally drained the next day. So itโs not just โfeeling tiredโ. Itโs your whole system being slightly out of sync.
Sometimes, the best thing you can do for your body is simply go to bed a little earlier.
