On the left - the client came to me seeking help with an old injury to the left hamstring and gluteal area back in April.
In the first session, upon assessing her, I noticed that the restricting pattern on her was actually her breath more than the regions she mentioned. She had to live up to so much expectations that it started to become an invisible armour that was expressed in a rigid ribcage, held-in abdominals and a forced upright posture. It didn't help that she was in the fitness industry, so it reinforced the expectations for her to live up to certain physical ideals.
Through energy healing and body-psychotherapy, I guided her to release the mental trappings of having to live up to others' ideals instead of just as herself. Her breath started to free up but not by a lot. However, she started understanding what it means to just breathe without imposing any rules on her breathing.
In sessions 2 to 6, we worked on the feet, the legs, the trunk, the spine, the rib basket, the shoulders and eventually the neck, jaw and head. With each session, she could connect better with her own body as well as opened her up to more movement possibilities and freedom.
On the right - six sessions later, she said that she finally understands and appreciates what it means by having a body that is fully connected from head to toe. She told me that the sessions have transformed the way she educates her clients because she finally could embody what she has read in the books. I told her that I'm very grateful for her trust in me, and that I'm glad that others got to benefit indirectly from myofascial work based in Anatomy Trains, visceral manipulation and neural manipulation.
I live for moments like this. I love improving my clients' well-being and helping them connect with themselves in mind, heart and body.
