We experience stress daily, whether it comes from work, mental pressure, or financial problems. Over time, it has become a norm in our lives. The only way to overcome these stresses is by learning how to manage them in the right way.
When we are under stress, it affects both our body and mind. Physically, it can lead to poor sleep and increased susceptibility to illness. Emotionally, many of us experience constant worry, especially about things beyond our control.
When we encounter stressors, our body activates the fight-or-flight response, releasing stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. These hormones create various effects in the body that, over time, may contribute to heart problems.
While this stress response was useful in the past for dealing with real physical threats, the โthreatsโ we face today are often psychological and do not require the same physical reactions.
