On World Humanitarian Day, we stand with those working to end war and crisis, recognizing that true humanitarianism means not just responding to suffering, but striving to prevent it.

Together, we can build a world where peace and compassion prevail 🤍

On this World Humanitarian Day, we honor the selflessness, bravery, and dedication of these incredible people. They remind us that in every corner of the globe, humanity shines through. Whether it's a doctor providing critical care in a war zone, a volunteer delivering food to the hungry, or a teacher giving hope to children in crisis—each act of kindness makes the world a brighter place.

During World Breastfeeding Week, QFFD Clinic Sg. Petani launched a series of activities dedicated to raising awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding.

The lactation room provided at the clinic offers a serene and private environment for mothers to breastfeed comfortably. This initiative is crucial in empowering refugee mothers, ensuring they have the necessary support and education to provide their infants with the best start in life.

Through these efforts, we continue to reinforce our commitment to the health and well-being of the community, highlighting the importance of breastfeeding as a cornerstone of child health.

Hey everyone! 🙋🏽‍♀️ Today, we're talking about sugar and how it affects our health.

Sugar is a type of carbohydrate that gives us energy. You can find it naturally in food like rice, potatoes, and bread, as well as in fruits (fructose) and milk (lactose).

But here's something important: sugar is also added to a lot of the food we eat. The World Health Organization (WHO) suggests we should limit added sugars to less than 10% of our daily energy. Ideally, it should be below 5%!

Why? Because too much sugar isn’t good for us.

Eating too much sugar can lead to health problems like:

🔸Stomach issues
🔸Cavities and tooth decay
🔸Lack of important nutrients
🔸Weight gain and obesity
🔸Increased risk of Type 2 diabetes

We don't need extra sugar in our diets because we can get enough from carbohydrate-rich foods. So, what can we do? Focus on eating a balanced diet and try to cut down on added sugars.

Let's take care of our health together by watching our sugar intake.

Remember, a little change can make a big difference!

To all our amazing breastfeeding mothers, Happy World Breastfeeding Week!

From August 1st to August 7th, we celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, and this year’s theme, "Closing the Gap: Breastfeeding Support for All," highlights the importance of supporting mothers on their breastfeeding journey.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of a baby’s life. This means no other foods or liquids—not even water—are given during this crucial period. After six months, continue breastfeeding while introducing complementary foods to meet your baby's growing nutritional needs.

Breastfeeding offers incredible benefits for both infants and mothers. It provides babies with the perfect balance of nutrients for growth and development while reducing mothers' risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Most importantly, breastfeeding fosters a strong emotional bond between mother and child through nurturing skin-to-skin contact.

Here's to celebrating the beauty and power of breastfeeding and to supporting all mothers on this remarkable journey! 💖
