We actively incorporate therapeutic games like the Wooden Clip Beads Game into our residents’ daily routine — especially beneficial for those living with dementia.

This activity is thoughtfully designed to:

🔥 Fire Safety Awareness at Avenue Medihome Villa @ Jalan Logan🔥

A heartfelt thank you to Team Balai Bomba Lebuh Pantai for the insightful and practical fire drill training conducted at our care centre!

Through this session, our staff are now more knowledgeable and confident in handling emergency situations — from fire evacuation procedures to using fire extinguishers effectively. Most importantly, they are now better equipped to protect and save the lives of our residents in critical moments. 🧯👨‍🚒

Meet Aunty Toh — one of our most cherished residents who has been part of our Avenue Medihome family for over 6 wonderful years. 🌸

Once a dedicated staff nurse, Aunty Toh spent her younger years caring for others. Today, we are blessed to care for her — and she continues to brighten our days with her kindness, cheer, and that signature smile she always gives when the camera’s on. 📸

Though retired, her heart for people hasn’t changed. She’s always the first to greet others with a warm hello, loves a good chat, and never misses a chance to join our games and activities. Whether it's playing cards, joining in morning exercises, or simply laughing with our team, Aunty Toh shows us every day that age is just a number — and joy is timeless.

Her presence reminds us that nursing homes are not just about care — they’re about connection, laughter, and finding new purpose in every season of life. 💖

Thank you for having us! We really learned so much from this visit — especially on how to better care for our dementia residents. 💙

One thing that really stuck with us — Ms. Jess, the person-in charge shared something so inspiring:
👉 “People with dementia are not children. They are wise elders who’ve lived through far more than we have.” 👵🏻👴🏻

It reminds us that care is not just about routines, but about respect, patience, and understanding. We should never force or say “no” to them harshly, as this may lead to frustration or aggression.
