🎉 Age is just a number when passion leads the way!
At 61 years old, most would think it’s time to slow down — but not for our inspiring educator, ! We’re so proud to have the first ABAT from Tawau, Sabah! It's an honour to walk alongside passionate educators like her who show that age doesn’t define your potential — your heart and purpose do 💙

Here’s what Cecilia shared about her journey 👇

*“At the age of 61, some may think it’s time to slow down — but my heart tells me otherwise. It keeps telling me that despite being a Montessorian for 30 years and a Special Educational Needs Teacher for 15 years, I have to be more competent in supporting the children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is where I’ve found meaning, purpose, and a deep sense of fulfillment.

Listening to that quiet, persistent voice within, I chose to follow my passion — to learn, to grow, and to equip myself with the knowledge and skills that truly make a difference. Becoming an Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) is not about age; it’s about heart, commitment, and the desire to do good the right way.

The beauty of ABA lies in its evidence-based practice — every strategy and support is grounded in science, guided by data, and driven by compassion. It’s about empowering children to reach their potential, step by step, with understanding and respect for their unique ways of experiencing the world.

To the younger generation: listen to your heart. If it lingers on the thought of helping these special angels, don’t ignore it. Take the leap. Equip yourself with the right tools and knowledge. This journey is not an easy one, but it will be one of the most rewarding paths you’ll ever walk.

Because in the world of ABA, age doesn’t define you — your passion and purpose do.”

From curious to competent, from learner to leader, we celebrate this dedicated educator, Surie Baharudin , who started with no prior knowledge of ABA and has now grown into a confident, skilled ABAT! 🌟

“Saya amat bersyukur atas peluang untuk menjadi seorang ABAT di Tawau. Bermula tanpa pengetahuan asas tentang ABA, perjalanan ini telah memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang amat berharga. Sepanjang proses ini, saya memperoleh kefahaman mendalam tentang prinsip, teknik, dan etika dalam ABA yang telah memperkukuh kemahiran serta keyakinan profesional saya.

The journey to becoming a certified ABA professional is challenging, demanding, and full of learning curves — but every step is worth it. 🌟 We are so proud to see Sarmiah, another educator from our very own Tawau, earning her ABAT credential.

Her words remind us that learning never stops - and that every step forward, no matter how small, can make a big difference in the lives of children we support. 💙

"I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn about ABA. It has been both a challenging and rewarding experience through the journey. With the knowledge, I have grown not only as an educator but also as a person. It has given me the confidence and ability to help children.

My journey as an ABAT is only just beginning, and I believe there is still so much more to learn. My hope is that more people will discover the value of ABA and join in supporting children because every small step we take can make a big difference in their lives.

A milestone worth celebrating! We are thrilled to congratulate Sara Syafira for becoming one of the first ABATs in Tawau! Her words remind us to create a world where every child can shine.

"From zero knowledge and experience in Special Education Needs (SEN) to now being one of the first Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) in Tawau truly blessed beyond measure!

Here, I would like to express my gratitude to Bridging Rainbow Tawau as a place for me to build up my passion and develop knowledge in this field and also, Behaviour Analysis Academy (BAA) for the opportunity to learn and provide solid support for me through the process to understand more deeply in the field of Special Education Needs (SEN) through Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).

Through what has been learned from ABA and as one of Bridging Rainbow team in Tawau, I hope we can help in Special Education Needs more effectively, evidence-based and run it in the right way."

In the 1950s, every kindergartener knew the ritual: crayons down, lights low, and the soft hum of a record spinning through the air.
Naptime wasn’t a break — it was part of learning.

Teachers dimmed the lights, tiptoed between mats, and whispered, “Close your eyes.”
Kids rested, dreamed, or just stared at sunbeams dancing on the ceiling — learning something we’ve since forgotten: that rest is part of growth.

Then came the tests.
The “readiness.”
The race to get ahead.
By the 1980s, naps were gone. The mats rolled up. The lights stayed on.

Today, five-year-olds spend more time in structured lessons than third-graders did in the 1950s — no pauses, no quiet, no chance to just be.
And we wonder why they’re anxious.

Maybe it’s time we remembered what our teachers once knew:
You don’t grow by running all the time.
You grow in the stillness too.
Even big kids need naptime sometimes.

After studying hard for 2 years , the time has finally come where our skills are tested via Competency Assessment and Board Exam by the QABA Board.

Special thanks to Behaviour Analysis Academy, Dr. Ling and YY Yong for the support and supervision. Our team is humbled for the opportunity to achieve this important milestone in acquiring the credentials to be certified Applied Behavioral Analysis Technicians!!

As Bridging Rainbow Tawau steps into the new decade ahead, we are incorporating the precious learning to *apply* ' them *analytically* with the *technology* ensuring that they are *conceptually systematic* across the team that the training is *effective* and *generalized* in shaping the children's *behaviour* to bridge them into the world of possibilities smoother!!!

God’s Creation
上帝的创造

Today, we are capable of creating and innovating, enjoying the benefits of advanced technologies.

Yet, when human beings are absorbed in their own achievements, we often forget the Creator who has blessed us with the gift of creativity. We also fail to appreciate what we cannot create but is already around us.

We delight in the beauty of grass and flowers, and at times we enjoy keeping pets. But we easily overlook that all these are given by God, the Creator.

“Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, ‘I find no pleasure in them.’” (Ecclesiastes 12:1)

今天，我们能够发明与创新，享受先进科技所带来的便利。

然而，当人类沉浸在自己的成就中时，我们往往忘记了那位赐给我们创造力的造物主。我们也忽略了那些我们无法创造、却一直在我们身边的事物。

我们欣赏青草与花朵的美丽，有时也喜欢养宠物。但我们常常忽视，这一切都是上帝，创造主所赐予的。
