On January 6th, we had the privilege of hosting the End-of-Life Care Workshop, a meaningful collaboration between Persatuan Anestesiologi Tawau and the Malaysian Society of Intensive Care (MSIC). Their invaluable support, along with the expertise and dedication of Dr. Noor Airini, Dr. Laila Kamaliah, Dr. Tai Li Ling, and the incredible efforts of KJ Saufi and KJ Noraida, made this event a resounding success.

We were honored to welcome participants from various departments—Anaesthesiology, Emergency, Medical, Surgical, and Dental—representing hospitals across Sabah, including Lahad Datu, Semporna, and Beaufort.

Thank you for coming together to explore compassionate and holistic approaches in end-of-life care. Let’s continue striving for excellence in patient care. 🌟

In an effort to inject a fresh twist into this 1st Advanced Airway Workshop(TAAW), the Tawau Anesthesia team introduced an exhilarating Escape Room game. The activity was not only thrilling but also infused with valuable learning elements, making it a heart-pounding experience that combined the rush of adrenaline with the pursuit of knowledge.

In conjunction with World Anesthesia Day, the Persatuan Anestesiologi Hospital Tawau has organized various interesting activities throughout the month of October.
One of the flagship activities was the "1st Tawau Advanced Airway Workshop (TAAW) ," a specialized course designed for medical practitioners across Sabah who are keen to expand their expertise in advanced airway management.
The intensive one-day workshop was held at the Hospital Tawau Auditorium on 19th October 2024. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the participants who actively engaged in the event, as well as the sponsors whose support was invaluable. A special acknowledgment goes to the entire Anaesthesia Team Hospital Tawau for their tireless efforts in ensuring the seamless ex*****on of the program.
Before the course concluded, we hosted an "Escape Room" game, which was won by the team led by Dr. Tioh Beng Siong, an anaesthetist from HDOK.

"In celebration of World Anesthesia Day, the association has proudly hosted, for the very first time, the prestigious Anaesthesia Badminton Championship,(ABC) on 5th-6th October 2024 at One Sports Badminton open to the entire Tawau Hospital community. The response was nothing short of phenomenal, and we are immensely grateful to every individual who made this event an overwhelming success.
A special and heartfelt thank you goes out to YB Datuk Andi Muhammad Suryady bin Bandy Andi Suryady, whose unwavering support has been the driving force behind our triumph."
