A festive moment of unity and celebration filled the halls of Columbia Asia Hospital Tebrau on March 3, 2026, as we brought together the vibrant traditions of Chinese New Year and the warmth of Iftar in one joyful celebration. 🎉✨

From the energetic rhythm of the lion dance and the spectacular dragon dance, to the cheerful appearance of the God of Prosperity, the day was filled with excitement, blessings, and festive spirit. 🐉🧧

As the evening approached, the celebration continued with a meaningful Iftar gathering, where our dedicated staff and hospital consultants shared a heartwarming potluck, strengthening the bonds within our hospital family. 🌙🍽️

The celebration also featured the symbolic Yee Sang tossing, where everyone gathered to toss the Yee Sang high while sharing wishes of prosperity, health, and success for the year ahead. 🥢🥗

Adding more festive cheer, we also organized a Chinese New Year Festive Decoration Competition, where our talented nurses showcased their creativity and team spirit through beautifully decorated spaces. Congratulations to our nurses who emerged as the winners! 🎊🏆

Our CSR journey recently brought us to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Shan De, where we had the privilege of giving back to the community by donating daily essential items to support the home's needs.

This initiative was made possible through the heartfelt generosity of our dedicated Consultants and staff. Your contributions enabled us to purchase the necessary supplies and extend meaningful assistance to those in need. Thank you for your compassion and continuous support in helping us create a positive impact within the community.

Beyond the donations, we also brought along our Zoey mascot and a special appearance by the God of Prosperity to add festive cheer to the home. We organised interactive games and handicraft activities for the children, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with laughter, warmth, and meaningful bonding moments.

We were especially inspired by Shan De’s Lovely Meal Plan Program, where children work hand in hand with social workers to prepare meals. This initiative not only provides food for low-income and vulnerable communities around Johor Bahru every Friday and Saturday, but also nurtures essential life skills, teamwork, and a strong sense of responsibility among the young participants. It is truly a beautiful reflection of compassion in action.

To commemorate this milestone, the first baby born on the first day of Chinese New Year at every Columbia Asia hospital receives a 916 Gold Jingle Baby Anklet.
