Dr. Salmi Noradila Salmi Mohamad is currently attending a one-week X-ray Training for General Practitioners at MBSA Convention Centre, Shah Alam.

This certification is a mandatory lifetime requirement to obtain licensing for the installation, storage, and provision of X-ray services to patients.

With the addition of X-ray services, we aim to deliver more accurate diagnoses and more effective management of patients’ conditions, allowing us to offer a higher standard of comprehensive care.

You might be suffering from plantar fasciitis.

We conclude our year 2025 with multiple surgical cases.
including a Tight Rope fixation for a right acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) dislocation.

This patient sustained a right shoulder injury following a recent road traffic accident. X-ray imaging showed a right acromioclavicular joint dislocation, Rockwood type III.

The fixation was done under general anesthesia. A small incision was made ( minimally invasive )with endobutton inserted tightly holding the clavicle and coracoid mimicking the coracoclavicular ligament and stabilising the AC joint. The endobutton will hold the joint in situ and will allow its faster healing.

The surgery went well, and we hope the patient will have a speedy recovery.

As 2026 begins tomorrow, I reflect on my two months in private practice after 12 years of government services. I feel grateful for the past, focused on the present, and truly excited for the future ahead especially with the upcoming clinic launching so soon.😊

TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT (TKR) /ATHROPLASTY.
Dr. salmi assisted Dr Theva (Dr. K Thevarajan ) and Dr Teo Pock Chin for right TKR surgery at Hospital Wisma Maria JB yesterday.

The operation was uneventful.
Patient was able to walk ( ambulate )today and was very happy and satisfied with the outcome so far.

Patient decided for Total knee replacement as conservative treatments such as hyaluronic acid ( HA) , plaletet rich plasma (PRP) and other options were no longer effective for her.

At Teo Orthopaedic Specialist Clinic, we will carefully assess patients with knee osteoarthritis and provide a full range of treatments—from non-surgical pain management to surgery—tailored to each patient’s needs.
Not all patients may required surgery.

At Klinik C&C Salmi, Dr. Salmi Noradila Salmi Mohamad will provide similar comprehensive care. Osteoarthritis will be managed in a personalized manner according to each patient’s needs. Knee pain and other joint pains will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate treatment will be offered.

SAKIT LUTUT TAK SEMESTINYA CUCUK GEL SAHAJA.

Option lain adalah cucuk PRP ( platelet rich plasma).

Ini adalah prosedur biasa yang dijalankan di klinik Teo Orthopaedic Specialist clinic.

Procedure ringkas, cepat dan selamat. Risiko reaksi negative terhadap bahan yang dicucuk tersangat rendah kerana menggunakan darah pesakit sendiri.

PRP akan bantu pesakit bina semula tissue yang rosak bergantung kepada tahap kerosakan tempat atau sendi terbabit ( generative process).

Selepas cucuk PRP, pesakit boleh berjalan/gunakan anggota badan seperti biasa ( di larang over/excessive use). Jangkaan tempoh untuk alami kesan baik adalah sekurangnya 3 minggu ke atas kerana menggunakan proses pemulihan secara semulajadi menggunakan bahan dari badan sendiri ( booster!).

Cucuk PRP bukan sahaja untuk masalah sakit lutut sahaja tetapi untuk masalah lain di ortopedik seperti
✅️ tendinitis ( achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, tenis elbow)
✅️ ligaments injury
✅️ muscle injury

CEDERA ACL DAN MENISCUS LUTUT
Dr. Salmi assist Dr Zulkiflee bin Hassan dan dr Ng Chung Kia untuk operation Arthroscopic Right knee ACL reconstruction (using autograft ) dan meniscus repair.

Pesakit alami anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) lutut kanan putus dan juga kecederaan meniscus disebabkan oleh kemalangan jalan raya.
Selepas kemalangan biasanya lutut pesakit membengkak dan sakit sehingga menganggu pesakit untuk berjalan.
Berlaku hemathrosis ( pendarahan dalam sendi lutut) disebabkan kecederaan meniscus dan ACL yang putus.

Rawatan awal adalah
1. RICE
R: Rest
kurangkan pergerakan sendi tersebut, mungkin perlukan immobiliser seperti brace/slab.
Ada pesakit yang perlu crutches atau tongkat untuk kurangkan tekanan pada sendi lutut.

I: Ice
kurangkan keradangan dengan meletakan ICE pack.

C: compression
bandage untuk kurangkan bengkak akibat hemathrosis/keradangan.
Dalam kes tertentu,pesakit mungkin perlukan knee aspiration untuk kurangkan ketegangan dan kesakitan disebabkan oleh pendarahan dalam sendi lutut.
walau bagaimanapun, procedure knee aspiration perlu dibuat dengan cara yang betul.

E: Elevation
tinggikan paras kaki.

2. Pain medication yang bersesuaian.

3. Rawatan doktor
Doctor akan bantu nilai keadaan lutut pesakit secara klinikal,
buat xray dan/atau ultrasound
dan jika perlu untuk buat MRI lutut.
Jika keadaan lutut pesakit tidak pulih, kemungkinan besar beliau perlukan pembedahan dan rawatan selanjutnya oleh pakar ortopedik atau sport surgoen.

4. Physiotherapy
Sangat penting walaupun anda tidak perlukan pembedahan .physiotherapy akan bantu anda bina otot-otot quadricep paha untuk bantu stabilkan pergerakan sendi lutut yang cedera.

Insyaallah, hasil ajaran di C&C Bone Joint and Pain centre (juga dikenali sebagai Teo orthopedicʻ specialist clinic) ini akan digunakan sebaiknya untuk rawatan pesakit di Klinik C&C Salmi. kita akan bantu pesakit- pesakit yang alami masalah kecederaan lutut akibat kemalangan/jatuh.

As many would say;

After serving 10 years in the Orthopedic Department (Government), Dr. Salmi decided to further enhance her knowledge and skills at C&C Bone, Joint & Pain Centre, based at Hospital Wisma Maria, Johor Bahru.

She is currently training under the supervision of Dr. Teo Pock Chin and Dr. Ng Chung Kia, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Founder & Co-Founder of the centre.

Indeed, continuous learning is the best way to provide the highest quality care to patients.
