This programme provides a clear entry pathway to Enrolled Nursing (EN) and Midwifery Science for applicants who do not meet the minimum requirement of 22 points in Grade 11/12 or a minimum symbol E in English.

The course is designed to prepare and equip students with the foundational knowledge and skills required to progress into Enrolled Nursing.

Duration: 1 Year
Progression: Upon successful completion, graduates may apply for admission into Enrolled Nursing.

IS ESSENCE CURRENTLY THE BEST INSTITUTION WHERE ONE CAN STUDY ?

While we are currently awaiting the finalisation of our accreditation status from NQA, our programmes are approved by the Health Professions Councils of Namibia (HPCNA), which allows our students to undertake their clinical practical training at recognised health facilities nation-wide.

In addition, the institution is registered with the Nursing Council of Namibia, and upon successful completion of student studies, graduates receive certificates issued through the Nursing Council and are registered in accordance with the relevant nursing category and scope of practice. This registration enables our graduates to legally practise and seek employment, which is why we have some who are already successfully employed in the health sector etc...

Once NQA accreditation is granted, the institution’s qualifications (all) will be formally accredited, and qualifications obtained will be aligned with NQA requirements, in line with NQA policies and procedures.
