WHY RESIDENTS NEED TO KNOW THEIR PROPERTY PINS

ONGWEDIVA | Knowing the location of your property pins or map markers is very important. These pins accurately indicate the edges and boundaries of your land, such as:

1. Prevents Disputes
Pins mark the boundaries of your land. Knowing their locations helps you avoid disagreements with neighbors over where your property ends.

2. Aids in Buying or Selling
When buying or selling land, clear pins demonstrate the true size and shape of the property. This facilitates smoother and fairer transactions.

3. Assists in Building and Development
If you plan to build or develop your land, knowing the pins helps you to plan correctly and stay within your property lines.

4. Keeps Your Land Organized
Accurate pins help you maintain your land properly, such as when placing fences or planting, without encroaching on neighboring properties.

5. Prevents Future Problems
Properly marked pins reduce the risk of legal issues or disputes related to property boundaries.

PLEASE NOTE:

■ Obtain a professional survey to ensure your pins are placed accurately.

■ Keep records of your pin locations.

■ Regularly check your pins, especially after weather events or construction activity.

■ Do not move pins - it is illegal to move or remove survey pins

Knowing where your property pins are located helps keep your land safe, well-defined, and properly managed. It prevents potential problems and ensures your property is protected.

ONGWEDIVA COUNCILLORS FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH THE SITUATION ON THE GROUND

ONGWEDIVA | In an ongoing effort to address community needs and ensure effective governance, the councillors of Ongwediva Town have embarked on a comprehensive field assessment of the current situation on the ground.

This initiative aims to gather firsthand information about prevailing conditions within various wards, identify pressing issues faced by residents, and formulate targeted solutions.

During the town familiarization tour, councillors were taken to various areas by staff members to gain valuable insights into infrastructural challenges, public service delivery, and social concerns.

The exercise underscores the council’s commitment to transparent leadership and responsive governance, ensuring that development initiatives are aligned with the actual needs of the community.

The findings from this on-site evaluation will inform future planning and resource allocation, ultimately fostering sustainable growth and an improved quality of life for all residents of Ongwediva.

The trip, headed by Town Mayor Cllr. Naemi Amuthenu and accompanied by fellow councillors, reaffirmed their dedication to working collaboratively with community members to build a resilient and prosperous Ongwediva.
