Cervical Cancer is caused mostly by persistent high-risk HPV infection.

This virus is passed through skin-to-skin sexual contact.
Some HPV types cause ge***al, oral or a**l warts.
High-risk HPV types can lead to cervical, a**l, throat, pe**le, vulvar and vaginal cancers.
Both women and men can spread HPV.

It is one of the most preventable cancers !
HPV vaccination from the age of 9 - 14 years is advisable, but available till mid-adulthood.

Regular screening with Pap smears and HPV typing is so important.
